Proposing new Rule

TER is a great place for both providers and clients to share experiences and information.  Ultimately this makes the hobby better for all of us.  It works best if everyone participates.

I would like to propose that ISO posts cannot be done using an Alias.  If it were up to me I would say you would at least have to have a review, but at the very least it doesnt make sense to post inqueries using an Alias.

Someone who is shy might want to post a question that doesn't track back to them.

I am not shy.  I have expressed an interest in providers who use strap-ons.  And, I have had immature morons try to use that when talking about me in a negative light.  I don't care what those asses think.  I am comfortable with my own interests.  However, I can easily see how someone might want to post an ISO for a service and they would rather not have others know the ISO came from them.

Heh.  I wrote up a better example, but I think I should post it as an alias, so no one knows it came from me, cause it's pretty bad.  :-)

I came up with another scenario where anonymity would be good for posting an ISO.

Someone might ask if there are any recommendations for a girl that will dress up in a school girl uniform and act out an underage rape fantasy, or some shit like that.

With another consenting adult, acting out such things can be a healthy outlet for what we would all agree is an unhealthy desire.  But that doesn't mean a poster here wants to advertise that he has such a fantasy.

Even if you think acting out that particular item with an escort is bad, you can see my point.  There are a ton of innocuous things someone might want to ask about, without that request being tied to them.

i understand what you mean.  I had used an alias a while back when enquiring on the TS board.  Still I feel that a user with actual input to the board would be apt to get more responses to an ISO post.

The first rule of ISO posts should be the subject line must begin with "ISO".

I assume that the rule is not implemented because the poster is not moderated and/or the moderators already have enough on their plate.

So if someone has 411 they can send me a PM.

About 3 years ago, I posted a 411 for a gal who had an Eros ad (for a very short period of time) and a nice website, however under the Q&A there was a strict no review policy.

I posted a 411 and got a PM.  I ended up meeting with her 3 times, before she met a SD who took her out of our world.

She was truly one of the best I ever met, and there are a handful here on TER who met her, remember her, and wish her only the best.

Anyway, the point I am trying to make, is that if you post and want people to be able to PM you, then do it with a handle, not an alias.  Seems like common sense, but then again, I see people, talking on their cell phone, or listening to the iPod,  and walk in front of buses almost every day.  Doh!
