Pricing thoughts....

I'm not going to start a debate about quality of provider at cost or anything like that...

But where do some of the providers come up with there pricing?  I was looking at some website and there are providers asking like $1000 that don't even look that good.  I mean we aren't talking $150 bad, but $1000 for a provider that isn't absolutely fit is a little high.  I understand performance differences and GFE/PSE differences, but come on.

Just my .02

There is a true capitalist system in place with this hobby--no regulations, no government interference, just buyers and sellers.   If a provider can get optimally booked (from her point of view) at a certain price, that is her price.  If she is overwhelmed with business at that price, she can raise it.   If the price is too high--such as in the examples you gave--she will have to lower her price to maximize her income (unless, of course, she is happy with the income she gets from the number of customers she has at that price).   Since following TER I have seen providers raise and lower their prices, which, I assume, are based on simple economic principles.

Whatever she feels her time is worth..

She wouldnt be priced like that if she wasn't getting it..

you think she doesnt look good, Maybe others think absolutely the opposite.

There are times, I see pages of providers, and I wonder why they do not charge MORE.. They could surely get it. We all have our own reasons.

I agree with the "providers charging more"...  I see those all the time.  I was just a little amazed at what some of the providers(of which a few had terrible reviews) were asking.

It really depends on demand and the amount of time you put into the hobby. I don't think it is as easy as saying it is set by what the market can bear. It is more than that. The parameters of my business dictate what I set my price at. These are:

I don't do this hobby full time.
I have other means of income.
I answer my own phone.
I used to be higher (500) didn't like the whiny clients I was getting so I lowered it and stopped doing overnights and set a 4 hour max on appts. I am more PSE than GFE anyway.
I primarily do outcall in NYC except for those that have seen me before.

Most ladies in the business make more money by doing hourly appts. vs extended appts. Just think, the pricing gets reduced for every hour increase, usually 100.

However....It is a pain in the ass to verify new clients all the time and many ladies would rather cut down on the time involved in screening so it makes sense to increase the hours to make it easier for them. Also once her client base is secure, she doesn't need new clients, so she raises it to discourage new clients so she doesn't have to respond to the insane amount of back and forth e-mails. Also, it makes you guys drool over her "Wow, she must be something else if she is for x dollars."

Yes, but would you really see 4 or even 3 individual clients in the same time perod that you would see 1 client for a 4 hour appointment?  It seems more likely that it would be 2.

So, assuming the follwing rate structure (which I am making up and allows significant discounts for longer periods...)
$400 1 hour
$600 2 hours
$800 3 hours
$1000 4 hours

In 4 hours you can make $1000 with one client, or $800 with two 1 hour appointments.  You might be able to make $1200 if you could see three clients, but that doesn't give you a lot of wiggleroom between them, and the hustle involved probably makes the job less fun.

I know at least one provider who, when visiting NYC, won't take less than a 2 hour appointment because it's so expensive to be here.  It seem to be her experience that more money can be made in the longer appointments.

But I'd be curious to hear the voice of experience.  Have any providers reading this tried periods of exclusively short appointments and periods of exclusively long appointments?

Which made more on a daily or weekly basis?

Men that book 2-4 hours.. sometimes their eyes are bigger than their stomachs like at a restaruant- the day of their appt, their wallets or accounts may not be as healthy as they thought. Instead of asking to change to one hour, they cancel.

2 -4 hour appointments.. Most girls put extra into the appts, Wine, food, snacks, candles, Maybe even a monopoly board... again... a big call, a new piece of lingerie even..Persay, a two hour call- she already took a hundred off, bought ammenities, another 100 off.. For her.. the call profit, is basically the same for her one hour..She would've made more doing two separate appts...

sometimes that isnt what it is all about

However, an answer to the question

If you read my post again it will make more sense.
I do primarily outcall for new clients. If you subtract the going rate of a NYC hotel right now say... 350 on Priceline, it is a no brainer that I am making more than a provider that has to book a hotel from out of town.  Also NYC men do not have the luxury of dissapearing for 2 hours at a time, sometimes they can just squeeze in an hour.  Sometimes I only want to spend an hour w/ someone.

"Yes, but would you really see 4 or even 3 individual clients in the same time perod that you would see 1 client for a 4 hour appointment?  It seems more likely that it would be 2." Dream on. If you haven't figured out that some providers stack their clients like pancakes then wake up and smell the Astroglide.

"You might be able to make $1200 if you could see three clients, but that doesn't give you a lot of wiggleroom between them, and the hustle involved probably makes the job less fun." Oh you must mean the ones that book one hour but want stay for two and get offended right? LOL.

"I know at least one provider who, when visiting NYC, won't take less than a 2 hour appointment because it's so expensive to be here.  It seem to be her experience that more money can be made in the longer appointments. " Yes, but ask her about the cancellations / no shows then factor in the data and look at the outcome.

"But I'd be curious to hear the voice of experience.  Have any providers reading this tried periods of exclusively short appointments and periods of exclusively long appointments?  " The ladies do what they think works best for them, and that is different for each and every one.

"Which made more on a daily or weekly basis?" Oh you know "Ellie" just loves those kinds of questions being discussed in a public forum.

Peace/

Personally I prefer being a bit more accessible to more people, for myself, but hey... whatever works for her is entirely up to her. Maybe she only wants one appointment a month or something!  It's not only about how we look in terms of how prices are set... it's also about the clientele we are interested in attracting.  $1000 for an hour seems a bit of a stretch to me unless you are a porn star (at any size), but if it works for her... it works for her :)

The only reason the prices are so high is because of the fact that the providers are taking a risk with LE.  If it weren't for the fact that it is illegal in the U.S. most of the providers would struggle to make money.
There are many providers out there that getaway being fat and just plain ugly yet make 300 per hour because they provide a service that unfortunatley is illegal here.  If you travel outside the country (costa rica, brazil or columbia) for me, you will find gorgeous women that will spend the entire night with you for 70.
Only in America can the prices be at what they are.
