He is probably the first non-virgin Pope in 600 years.

Before enlisting in priest academy, he was an aspiring actor.  No disrespect intended, but he may have had a Charlie-Sheen lifestyle.  You might have expected more open-mindedness on birth control.  But at least he did help Ronnie Reagan defeat the Evil Empire.

Yes, and when he was in the Polish Resistance, I believe he had a girlfriend....

I wouldn't put money on the original proposition, though.  You're talking about some of the Borgia and Orsini popes, remember.
