Paypal can get nasty for violation of terms of use

Hi -- any Manhattan provider out there who accepts PP or CC?

Staying in Midtown and looking for tonight or next week -- thanks :)

(PS - I use cash less and less these days, so taking out large sums of it throws up more red flags than it used to.  Would love any suggestions on how others may solve for this.  Money isn't a problem for me -- but getting cash is...)

I know there are extra fees, but it might be worth it so there is no direct payment trail.  Even if I need a large amount, I just plan for withdrawals over a few days.

I would be interested to know if any providers accept pre paid visa, amex, mc gift cards? With our without the register receipt?

Buy a gift card.  Keep the receipt.  Leave a bit of funds on the card after paying for TER membership.  Use the card to 'pay' for the provider and give her the receipt.  I'm sure she'll be thrilled.

See this recent thread on the Boston board:
http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion-boards/boston-9/paypal-can-be-severe-in-their-methods-213791?#213791
which also mentions other non-cash options.
.
Basically, PP can seize your or her funds and you will never get them back.
.
PP gift cards are said to be better. I think it works this way:
You buy PP GC for cash at retail store.
PP GC can only be redeemed into a legitimate PP account so it is less likely to be hacked by GC scammers.  If it is stolen / redeemed, there is a trail to a real PP account.
The card is used to load "cash" into the PP account. Maybe she bought the card herself, with cash, and put it in PP to do some on-line shopping.  Even her "business" seems fishy, the PP GC transaction is nothing but a vanilla cash deposit.

I would NEVER use Paypal in any business that was illegal or could possibly be construed that way. PayPal is notorious for freezing the accounts of anyone using them for adult services, gambling or quite frankly ANYTHING they don't approve of.

Now bitcoin I do believe may create some long term issues as I believe bitcoin has some very serious issues and may create a LOT more problems that it claims to solve where it comes to the prying eyes of Big Brother, not to mention Government "could" shut it down at any time, rendering your bitcoins worthless, but I don't see that happening in the short term.

There was at least one Provider who did accept precious metal in lieu of paper.  She would accept pre-1964 dimes and quarters and convert their face value to then-current $ equivalents.  I think she accepted other forms of silver and gold if she could confirm what she was getting. Her last review is 2014 so I think she is retired.
.
Is there anyone here who would not accept Krugerrands or Canadian Gold Maple Leafs?

Is it even possible to buy a gift card (GC) or vanilla prepaid credit card (CC) with a real personal credit card? Most stores require hard CASH or a Debit Card to buy a GC or vanilla prepaid CC.  And the whole idea is that the gentleman caller is trying to avoid a paper trail, hence will use CASH and not even a debit card to purchase the GC or prepaid CC.
.
One other matter is the risk of GC fraud. Here are some links:
http://www.tripwire.com/state-of-security/risk-based-security-for-executives/risk-management/gift-card-fraud-how-its-committed-and-why-its-so-lucrative/
http://www.giftcards.com/gcgf/giftcard-scams
.
A well intentioned client pays cash for GC at a drug store or supermarket but a scammer has already scanned the cards hanging on the pegs.  The scammer's computer is constantly scanning the stolen numbers for activation and account balances.  When there's a hit, they swoop in and transfer the money to another account. The well intentioned client brings the card and the receipt (just 30 minutes old) to his date. When she checks it 3 hours later, it's been emptied!
.
One reason why I think people have more success with Paypal GIFT CARDS is that they can only be redeemed (deposited) into a valid PP account. If someone looks for the fate of stolen PP GC balances, PP will have info about the account that collected the dough.

Re: Gift CCs are still a risk to the client
If the hooker buys ads with the gift CC and gets busted, they can trace it to the client who used his CC to buy the gift CC. A bit too risky, if I were a client I wouldn't do it.

Even at the conversion of $2-3 per coin, that is a lot of rolls.  Did the lady say 'is that a roll in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?'

Why not American Eagles?

A roll of silver quarters is ~$162. A roll of silver dimes is ~$62. Since her fee was $$$, you can carry that in a pocket and not need a wheelbarrow.

Eagles? Go for it! ~$18 each (= one troy ounce).

Probably not a good idea to go to Flushing.  Find a reputable dealer and cash them in that way.  However be aware that the bid price is at a substantial discount.  You should keep them.  The same drivers of bitcoin could benefit gold and silver.  Or maybe find a client that would buy them from you at a mid market price!
