..and not even from the ground. From the boat that takes you there. That is the way the immigrants saw it and it still is a very moving sight. The boat that goes to the statue then goes to Ellis Island. I recommend bypassing landing at the statue and continuing on to Ellis Island. A moving memorial to our ancestors. To those of us whose ancestors landed there. Sicily for me.

Woody Allen says,
“My love life is terrible. The last time I was inside a woman was when I visited the Statue of Liberty.”
:)

If I have time I may check her insides. I guess lots of steps to show off on my Fitbit?

Do you recommend I go in her or shall I admire her beauty from outside?

From my experience enjoy it from outside.. I found it more appalling from outside. That doesn't mean you wont like it from inside lol

..he thinks you mean appealing not appalling.

I climbed the Lady 30 years go (or thereabouts) then it was closed for a long time...

You never know if/when they will decide to close it again and may regret having passed up the opportunity... Not sure how long the lines are, nowadays.

Personally, I believe that monuments are meant to be climbed and looked at from all angles - just like beautiful women ;-)

C'mon boys, you are not making it easy for me. :)

Sex without love is a meaningless experience, but as far as meaningless experiences go its pretty damn good.
