I've been here less than a year though and have lived in the south/Midwest my whole life.  I don't like it, you can have your men with purses and man buns.  I like my men to look like men.

I think initial poster owe himself to do some reading.

What I  do really love about states  it is

I think part of the issue with man-bags is that unlike other cities across the USA where people have cars that they can toss their items into, in NYC our lives are set up where we are on foot most of the day running from work-meetings-dates etc. I know that as a female my purse is significantly larger and more crammed in NYC where I have to plan my whole day out and the items I need for my various activities and I think the same thing applies for men in the city, thus you see many more having man-bags as so few have cars in such a crowded city.

Drives her insane, I put my sunglasses in there, the Tic-Tacs I like, the wallet, the keys, etc.  Once in a while, as penance, she makes me carry her purse in public. Of course, despite her protestation to the contrary, t is not too heavy because of my shit, it is her shit but I will happily oblige to keep the harmonious marital union.  Lol!
