The front page of your website uses Java applets to display all of the navigation buttons.  With all of the security issues with browsers these days, more people have shut off these features in their browsers - and thus, your website may not work for them.

You may want to consider going back to plain-old image buttons and links - the only think the applet appears to be doing is providing a fancy 'light up' of the button when the mouse goes over it.
