The Catholic church spent BILLIONS of dollars covering up the rapes of THOUSANDS of children. FACT

The basic premise of the Catholic version of the fairy tale is believed by BILLIONS, but that still leaves BILLIONS that don't believe in the Christian/Muslim/Jewish fairy tale. FACT

Bible thumping whore mongers, what a fucking concept. I suppose you pick and choose what parts of the bible god really meant, and the parts that are inconvenient you simply chalk up to "god must have been kidding" Right?

and why would I possibly lie to a woman about the relative size of my "wanger" when I am about to put it inside of her? Unlike your lies, she would figure out pretty quickly just how big or small my wanger actually is. Now your Christian lies are quite a different matter, you want me to give "this" life, the only one we are sure of to "Christ" promising me everlasting happiness in the "next" life that doesn't exist in return. Are you Christians really that fucking stupid? Never mind, rhetorical question

with the Pope on his way there tomorrow.  I was told by a dear friend they are saying keep
cars at home and use the subway.  Even still....it will be a mess and I am glad I am not
coming up there now to deal with all of that.

I really hope New Yorkers will still get around for some fun!!

Not sure a visit from Pope Francis is a reason "to feel sorry" for us New Yorkers, regardless of your religious persuasion.   Seriously.

..and you clearly know nothing about it Very easy to avoid the Pope and "the mess".

Exactly.  And it's a disrespectful post as well.  Let's put hobbying into perspective.  The city is receiving a visit from Pope Francis.  We can be inconvenienced regarding this and other activities for a couple days.  Very disrespectful post as it is written, and kind of sad as well.

Let me clarify....

It really is sad that some people (like myself) can make a general comment in hopes
that no one will get caught up in all that and still have fun and it is completely construed
as something disrespectful.

I 100% meant no disrespect to the Pope or anyone else to that matter.  While you may
have personally felt that I promise that was not my intent and that is not who I am!!

While I do not live there and don't know everything about it, I do love the city and the people
in it.

Now lets see if this moron is still confused about disrespectful..

Quite frankly, getting my dick wet is a thousand times more important than anything the pope has to say, unless of course he wants to publicly apologize for all the evil the Catholic Church has both committed and then covered up. THAT is an event I might show up to see.

and you're welcome MR, after reading my post he'll forget all about yours. lol

And you feel yourself superior to anyone? Would the Afghan dancing boys be safe around you?

GaGambler403 reads

So yes that puts me on a LOT higher moral ground than anyone representing the Catholic Church. Afghan dancing "boys" have nothing to worry about from me, but can you say the same thing about being safe from Catholic priests?  Now Afghan dancing "women" might be a different matter, but I don't do children of either sex, nor do I condone spending billions to cover it up.

Please don't try to pretend to have any kind of high moral ground where it comes to the pope, you are just going to make yourself look foolish. Fuck the pope and fuck the church.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but therein lies the tragedy.  Finally there is a religious and world leader who has acknowledged the gross wrongdoing and scandals, reached out  and apologized to the victims, cleaned house in the Vatican and who more than anyone walks the walk and talks the talk on every level, and you still feel sorry for New Yorkers for having to endure the inconvenience of Pope Francis' visit.  Again, nothing wrong with having a strong opinion but not everyone must agree and there are millions, including many atheists, who don't share your criticism.

It doesn't make them right either.

Not to mention the last person I am going to listen to where it comes to global warming is the leader of a cult based on a fairy tale, even if millions of people believe his  mumbo jumbo. Don't forget, there are billions of people who reject your fairy tale, so strength in numbers is hardly a valid argument.

BTW, I am not an atheist.

You might be confused, but I certainly am not, not where it comes to do with anything regarding the Catholic church that is.

During the part where we add the intentions deepest in our hearts, I asked this:

Lord, assholes such as GA Gambler will never see the light. But he is a fellow who throws around words such as "millions" and "billions." Can you please lead him to some accuracy in his mathematics? Especially when he exaggerates the size of his minuscule wanger when trying to impress the ladies.

Of this, Lord, I humbly beseech Thee.

If you could cite some legit stats re the "thousands" and "millions" and "billions" [I feel like I'm responding to Carl Sagan], then I might be able to help you out.

Your alias says it all. You are clearly confused. Learning english and nuance would be a start. In no way did she act with disrespect. The city will be chaotic late this week, not only because of the pope's visit, but also due to the onset of the UN General Assembly. If you value religious freedom, you also need to pay due diligence to the free exercise clause. However you misconstrued her post, she is as protected by the First Amendment as you are.

and I am happy to hear that..

I am not a New Yorker...you are correct...but I really meant no disrespect at all.
Not sure why some people took offense (like an alias of course!).

With the Pope, POTUS, and probably half of the world's Heads of State converging at the UN this week, it seems like a great time to escape from Dodge, and I have planned accordingly.  While the rest of you have to deal with the impending traffic and security nightmares, not to mention sky high hotel rates, I'll be chilling in Florida.  Have fun, everybody...I know I will be!  :)

Have fun soaking up the sun!  I hope your trip is smashing!  Travel well!  Love, AAT

New Yorkers are used to dealing with dignitaries, both foreign and domestic, causing traffic.  It won't put even the slightest dent in getting around for most of us.

Love the subway!  :-)

It must make for better business for escorts with all the diplomats in town, all the people hanging out in the city later to avoid traffic, etc.  So, the working gals on the board must be happy the world is coming to NYC.

It's not nearly as bad as all that. His visit also happens to coincide with the UN General Assembly, which is happening in generally the same area of town. There are frequently street closures and rerouting in Manhattan though. We have road races, holiday parades, presidential visits.... The pope coming to America is a big deal. I think it's this pope's first visit. As for the traffic & security, it's just par for the course living in a city where big events happen regularly.

Everything was well managed during the DC stint. Hope all works out in NYC.
