I have tickets with my sorors to see the Rockettes that night?!?! This is a tragedy!!!! :( It's going to be my first time seeing them live.

Good thing I'm not working then!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!

Insane traffic in midtown Wed.Night.  Double barrel action. Christmas tree lighting at Rock Center plus Obama at Sheraton Fundraiser.  Don't ride or walk in Midtown after about 3 or 4PM.

I'll defer any hobby plans in NYC until the following evening, or later...

I'll have to re-schedule.  Fucking Obama doesn't govern, and the country is in the shitter.... he just begs for money 24/7.

Wouldn't you like to know. ;)

...and I'm a good girl and I was an even better girl in college! LOL. :)

Zeta wasn't offered at my school but if I'd gone to Vanderbilt then maybe...

But I've always lusted for Qs!! Never got to play with
one. :(

Yes, but don't try walking in the "hot zone" (approximately 42nd to 54th, 5th to 6th Aves).  They have barriers up everywhere and steer pedestrians like cattle through narrow chutes.  Can be very claustrophobic.  Can't even cross the street at most intersections.  I've worked in the area for years, and have to learned to just take the day off, as I will this year.

But most NYers know that Rock Center and 5th avenue midtown are nightmares as far as crowds are concerned for the entire Christmas season.  Subways are the best course of action.

But it can't hurt to alert others to the mess.

Again, thanks for the heads up.
