New York

NYC is highly competitive.

The city has good locals and visitors. BDJ was once a premium agency with hot women in it's lineup with some that were girl next door decent. It seem to have become an agency of older providers. Good for some hobbyists, but won't work with the majority of hobbyists.

I come from the school that says an agency should have a goal of being around for five to seven years, makes it's money and then close down. When agencies stick around too long, the freshness that made them tops vanish and they slowly decend to irrelevance. BDJ seem to have not freshened it's lineup to maintain interest in the big hobby cities along the east coast, so it is likly working minor league cities where the competition is not as stiff.

Anybody use Belle Du Jour lately?  Tried multiple times (phone & text) to reach them, with no answer. Was a great agency in the past.  What gives?

Most were shouted down nastily by alias' (Buckwheat and Stymie, most prominently) for reasons that made little sense.  Info that could be gleaned of note was that this agency was under new management, and no longer serving NYC  I can neither confirm nor deny this, as I never utilized their services.  Just passing along what I heard...

Costs are to high, hotel, meals, airfare to come into NYC.  They are staying in smaller markets with lower overhead. If they came to NYC with the costs being what they are they would have to charge in excess of 450 and that would eliminate alot of their clientele who were used to 300-400 rates.  I am sure everyone misses them, they were reliable, clean, fresh and professional. No game playing, no bait and switch, everything as advertised.

Info garnered from reliable sources.

And are now based in L.A. and not Miami? Which accounts for the fact that they're not servicing the East Coast to the extent that they used to.

Also, how can anyone say that they had become an agency of "older" providers? What's your definition of older? It seemed to me that, with a few exceptions, they brought in new, young talent all the time. There was a BDJ-type for years that they specialized in.

Also, someone referred to them as a "premium" agency (or something like that). I disagree. They were a middle-market agency, with rates mostly in the $350-500 range.
