Do what the natives do...

Since many of the screenings and events are downtown, you'll likely want to stay in the general vicinity for the sake of convenience. That being said, Tribeca itself is likely to be a real sh*tshow, so you may want to venture more north or east to maintain sanity. Nolita has some great places now, as does Bowery (you'll be shocked at how much that neighborhood has changed!)

around the city , with a nice lady of course .... perhaps kiss me kate Jacobs or the lovely Natalia belle , the georgous Erika bond , a nice stroll  with the lovely holly paige and or add a friend in the sexy tara v.... with me still ... then theres the home  town hottties  like devin davette sexy and we all know it ... dude plenty to do the real question is can you handle it .......... enjoy your stay and welcome to nyc........

if not just pick up time out new york and check out some old bars and some of the first pizza places like lombardis. Maybe get a sandwich at katz deli and check out eataly.

But there are still several "Gentlemen's Clubs" strip clubs uptown in the west 40-50s, including good old Flashdancers.  I haven't been there in years ... when I realized that I could get a lot more pleasure via TER than from an overpriced, over-perfumed lap dance tease.  Cheetah's, Private Eyes (sister club to Flashdancers), Lace, ... I forget the names of the other strip clubs scattered around the west side because I never use them.
