Well SOME NYC men. I think it's very unfair to lump all men into a category just for a few inconsiderate ones, just as I do feel it's unfair to lump all providers into one category for a few who can manage things as well as some.
I used to visit NYC about once a month as I now do on LI and found the ratio of no shows (not cancellations even, I'm taking a screw-you your time doesn't mean a thing to me no shows) to be much much higher in nyc than LI.
I even stopped visiting the city for incalls because of this. Reguardless with a phone number or not certain men would just not have the respect or common decency to call and say sorry something came up can't make it.
Today I have/had/was supposed to of had a 5 hour dinner date.
So I do what I normally do when I am meeting someone for a one on one type session. I go get my hair done, my nails, tan go home and get all ready and await the phone call to tell me which hotel etc etc etc. Well the time has come and gone, no call and no answer to my call, finally I just threw out the number. I got about 6 phone calls earlier today asking if I was avail today and my answer was no,sorry perhaps another day. I never over book or double book, I don't like feeling hurried or despise being late, so I'd rather pass on an appointment rather than try and squeeze on in.
Here is my concern Stephanie and I are thinking about planning a doubles in nyc on the 9th of July its a Friday. We figured Suffolk was a hit, from the looks of our schedule tomorrow friday july 2 for nassau for doubles, we will be a hit as well.
We figured we'd give the NYC boys a taste of our two-some (doubles only that day) ALSO I've decided to give NYC incall (just me) a try later on in the month. After today though and being reminded that for some reason NYC guys (not all, a great many of you do cancel if needed and are most considerate) more so than other places pull no shows.
Sure they happen everywhere, and I'm content to just take the loss on the time and expenses I spend readying myself for a client, but the problem comes when I try and book an incall and wind up turning away guys because my schedule looks full only to find that after a no show sometimes 2-3 in a row, I have hours on hand, NOT FUN!! Doesn't matter how much info or confirming I do it still happens.
Guys it's things like this that make us insist on private info, I'm a bit more understanding and as long as I know of you and you have seen a lady I know as well, I'm content with a cell, and not making you jump through hoops. I'd like to continue to be this way as well. One reason why services and $ are never discussed and I also ask people to read my website and reviews which contains all my info, right down to my shaved you know what lol.
Many new things going on this month and I can do outcalls providing it doesn't land on the same days as my trips, best thing to do is look at my webpage, scroll to the bottom and it lists the dates that I can NOT do outcalls (because I have incall trips planned in Conn, Suffolk, Nassau (doubles only that day) and a double in nyc with Stph as well as incall at the end of the month in nyc.
Guys please be a bit more considerate. I'm certain this has happened to you by a provider, but not all of us are like that. In fact many of us are not, I'm certainly not! My incalls are the fun part, the real job is sitting home co-ordinating my schedule and confirming appointments, alot goes into it and a simple phone call saying sorry something came up or I'm running late, as soon as you know this to be true, goes along way in appreciation. I have no problem seeing someone that has cancelled on me, but I'll never re-book with someone that no shows. A no show is a NO-NO!!
Thanks for letting me rant! lol and sorry for the length of this but they do say I'm chatty right? One of yous said in a review just keep her mouth full and you'll be fine lol I took it in a humorous way not a mean way as I'm sure that how he meant it (the nice way.... gee, i hope!!!!!!!! lol)

Try to give the lady as much advance notice as possible. I know things do come up (I've had to cancel myself only twice but gave a days notice).
I don't like the deposit route myself. It implies that there isn't a trust there. If both people have enough trust to schedule an appointment then a deposit should be unnecessary. Just one man's opinion. BTW I won't do deposit.
I think enough of the ladies who have seen me and the gentelmen who know me would vouch for my character.
Speaking of being stood up, it does work the other way too. I have been stood up by a lady...not a pleasant experience.

I have a deposit policy now. The last time I was in the city, I booked solid a month and a half ahead of time, turning down literally hundreds of calls because I was booked. Of the five days I was here, 90%, yes 90% were no/shows!! This is why I am not excited about the city as I was before.
I have been told, agencies have guys book an appointment and give them a discount to the services for screwing over the indies around here. Let me tell you, a deposit policy here really gets rid of the asses who have nothing better to do than to waste our valuable time. This is something I think all travelling ladies should concider, especially here in the land of NO/SHOWS!!!

Your prostitutes, it's not mandadtory we keep our appointments this isn't jury duty. If your dumb enough to think that all the clients you pre book will actually show thats your problem. The best way to scare away business is to require a deposit, none of the high rollers I know would even consider it. Just stop trying to land the big whale cause he comes around once in a blue and at the time you don't even know how loaded he really is, stick with the 1 hour guys they are more reliable.
I think a deposit for a multi-hour appt is reasonable -- esp if the lady has a reputation for service.

If I make an appointment with my doctor, dentist, hairdresser, electrician, plumber and I don't show up or am not at home when they call I am charged, and expect to be charged by them for the loss of business.
You're wrong - except for sudden illness, or death within the family, it is mandatory to keep any appointment be they social or professional. That is simply good manners and the way I, and presumably most of us, were brought up.
I pretty much stick close to home. If I were jumping on a plane or driving an extreme distance that would be different. It is part of the down side of this business, just have to take the good with the nad I guess. Thing is are the guys willing to give out the info needed, or a deposit?
Personally I don't want to take deposits, for me it would be more complicated than the trouble, at this level anyway. At your level (touring to different states) perhaps it is a smart thing to do, I don't really travel so I wouldn't know.
To me it's more of a common decency thing. Just because cetain people might not agree with my lifestyle doesn't give them the right to treat me with any less respect that I myself put forth.
I treat people the way I'd like to be treated and hope for the same. Usually I get it back in spades. A little consideration goes along way.

providers have also been known not to answer an email about appointments and then when they get stood up for another appointment , all of a sudden call up a client pretending that they expected them to show up-it's called overbooking, just like the airlines.
this city is also known for visiting providers who all of a sudden decide they would rather do something else and change their plans after asking for commitments. check the boards. there are plenty of instances of providers doing this. so a hobbyist makes plans for that day-maybe doesn't take tickets to something or doesn't go away for a weekend etc.

i have myself made a very late appointment only to find the provider not there. after leaving a message on their service. i then got an email about them getting to the appointment late-only problem was they didn't know that i waited at the hotel past the time they said they got there and they never showed.
what i'm saying is, it goes both ways. if someone takes the chance to be involved in a business that is not regulated then they take their chances. i'm tired of hearing how it's always the hobbyist fault. there are plenty of instances of providers walking off with deposits as there are hobbyist that no show-certain clubs for hobbyist promote the no deposit stance because of the loss prepaid deposits
I just got shafted for $$$ with Sweet Melissa of SC (who has since disappeared). She had rave reviews just like others on this board, but cancelled her tour and never returned the deposits.
If a provider is scheduling a tour here, there should be an expectancy of risk. I've never no-showed, but as unfortunate as no-shows are, that's the cost of doing business.
I will not leave a deposit again and will not see a provider that insists on one.

Nothing he doesn't already know, in fact they never answer their phone afterwards when I would usually call to inquire if something came up, they saw my number and just let it go to vm when we were talking all morn, they avoid the direct call like bad little boys expecting a scolding lol
I'm sure alot of you guys may have recieved calls from nut jobs, and the threat casn be quite real. Maybe I'm known as being to forgiving and need to get tougher. Thing is the Domme boots really really hurt my feet and leather makes me sweat in the summertime.

Yea... but its true ...never cancelled an appointment after it was made but never, ever booked so far in advance...My bookings are normally that day....or the day before...for out of town Indies visiting,maybe 3-4 days....but never beyond. My shedule is too dicey and there could be no guarantee with a reservation that far in advance...and I would never ever prepay anything.
That all being said...Murphy's law can always apply...and there is no excuse for not calling the provider to let thenm know as soon as "shit hits the fan".

I see mostly gentlemen that have high energy lives and businesses. Many times meetings go way past time or pop up and of course that takes priority. I FULLY understand this. I will re-book with someone that cancells once, even twice but after that I will only book a one hour appointment with you at an incall that I'm doing reguardless. No shows just never get a repeat appointment If I can help it.
Funny thing I had mentioned a guy that wanted to keep booking multi hr (5 hrs and up) appointments and had cancelled twice on me and several times on my friend who hipped me to his shenanigans.
He tells me yesterday rent a room in nyc and well do a 5 hr incall. I responded with "if you think I'm going to drive into nyc , and spend several hundred dollars on a hotel room, just so you can cancel, you can forget it, I'm sorry but you did this to yourself."
His response was, I fully understand, I must cancel for today though, hopefully we can rescheduel.???????????????? Um Does this guy not get it????
You must understand that sometimes circumstances dictate that an appointment has to be cancelled. It is unfortunate when it happens more than once, but you must understand that it does happen. If someone cancels in advance either by e mail or a phone call you should be understanding. It's the total no shows that should be "crucified"!
