OK, guys and gals. We're in the heat of summer and I'm seeing a lot of skin out there. And with a lot of skin, I'm seeing a lot of tattoos. So what does everyone think of tattoos as a fashion statement? Be it a small tattoo or complete coverage, it's a big commitment to get ink.

but I do love looking at intricate ones on others! I'm not sure if I'll ever get one myself - there's nothing I really want put on me for life and I think it really should be something that means a lot to the person. But I can definitely admire the art that goes into it, the picture posted above is amazing!

... I think ladies who are covered in them, when done well, are smoking hot!!! I've always wished I could rock sleeves, knuckles, etc., but my look is less sexy badass and more sweet 'n' innocent... too many tatts would look odd on me, IMHO.

I'd rather see them elsewhere.  I admit to being old school in this regard.  A few small, interesting tattoos in the right place on a woman are fine.  Having none is also perfectly fine.

To me, the artwork distracts and detracts from the human body.  A few small ones might be enhancements.  Large ones are overkill.  It's like taking the best filet and covering it with 10 pounds of grilled onions.  Even if they are great onions, the flavor of the filet is lost.

Amsterdam made a huge commitment physically, mentally and financially for her total coverage on her back.

Most of you know by now, I'm all about having a good time here on the board. I enjoy sparking up this kind of lively / fun conversation. I really enjoy when the community has fun like this. We do have a great board. Thanks to everyone that participates and thanks again Pam for the compliment.

which is pretty obvious if you've seen me. I'm nowhere near done with covering myself, but I've got plenty of time to fill up the canvas.

I always found girls (and guys) with well-placed and well done tattoos incredibly sexy! I guess it's a trigger for me like hair color, body types, etc for others. :D

I have a significant number of tattoos myself.. I think I honestly look boring without them. (My new photoset has my tattoos photoshopped out for discretion.

I always loved her.

She also used to model under Candylac on SuicideGirls, but I think she got much hotter post-SG.

Amen! I feel the same way about piercings. Earrings, fine (within reason!). Belly button, I can tolerate. Tongue, the jury's still out (haven't had the experience with one of them yet. Same with a hood.) but I had a (legit) date with a girl once with piercings EVERYWHERE...just didn't do it for me.

I agree with the lovely Ms. Aphrodite, here...it looks like I chose the right time to enter the hobby. Just wish I had found out about this site a week earlier (would've avoided a horrible provider)...but more than that, it's intriguing discussions that kinda go along with the hobby but also can lead beyond. Bravo, good sir.
