After we were done, I offered to take her up to TS, but she thought it was too cold (temp was about 35). So instead we went upstairs and played.  At about 11:55 after we were done with Round 1, we turned on the TV, cracked open the bottle of bubbly, and brought in 2013 naked and in bed under the covers, all warm and cozy.  Have to say it was one of best NYE in my lifetime.  We were asleep by the time the second episode of the Twilight Zone marathon ended...  :)

Had she said yes, it would have been the second time to have been in TS on NYE.  Was there while in college back in 1981.  Not likely to happen this year, but never say never...

Don't know what I'll be doing New Years EVE, but I know what I'm CERTAINLY doing NEXT year...making an appt. to see the LOVELY Roxanne Heart!  See ya in 2016, luv! ;)

As for seeing the "ball" LIVE?  Unfortunately, it's OVERRATED.  :(

Years ago (pre-9/11), I went down to Times Square to see the ball drop.  Got there THREE hours before, could only get like, TEN blocks away.  The "ball" looked like a TINY star.

The ONLY way I could tell it finally dropped?  Everyone around me started to whoop it up!  Otherwise, I would've never known, it was so SMALL.

Trust me -  the BEST seat in the house is the one in YOUR own home.  Enjoy!  :

I'll be working all day slinging booze and keeping the east side of Manhattan thoroughly sloshed. By the time my shift is done I'll have serviced over 1000 people. Crawl back into bed and pass out. Maybe have a glass of scotch or bourbon beforehand.
