It appears that Backpage is no longer accepting credit cards
To clarify, "Both MasterCard and Visa have stopped processing payments for the adult personals site Backpage.com, cutting the site’s access to the world’s two dominant payment networks." AE previously stopped payments for adult ads on BP. I guess people can pay by Wire Transfer (Western Union)? Bitcoin? Direct payment from their bank account? TrustCash? I wonder if BP can try something like, "Post an ad to sell your used bicycle for twice the normal rate, pay by CC but get a FREE ad elsewhere on our website." EDIT: Shouldn't this be on the General Board?
I think it's more for mid range or small agencies. Depends on the area. Lots of girls and places in NYC have their own sites and use other means but when Ive traveled to more rural places bp was pretty much the only game in town. I did meet a great girl on there, has become an ATF and is realizing her worth, she's gone indy and dropped the risky bp ads.
In my area I've seen several ladies who are considered either high end or well established use BP. As with any site, you're still going to use the same process of validating someone.
