The USA is the only country where citizens do not view travel to other places as one of their top priorities during their youthful years. The travel can be to anywhere that interest them, from big cities like NYC to isolated outposts in undeveloped countries. The fact that the ladies that you mentioned are visiting has no relation at all to whether the hobby scene in Australia is vibrant or not, your attempt to link their visit to the business climate there is shere idiocy. I like to think that the ladies are using providing to facilitate seeing some of the sites of this country. I am sure that they are meeting decent, thoughtful gentlemen along the way, of which I am confident you are not.

this idiot, GooeyFacial, has completely missed the point that Nicole is travelling FROM the USA to Australia.  And you're right, we Australians travel because we like to broaden our horizons.  It's a very rare Australian who hasn't circled the globe at least once before they finish university.
