As for the best 4th, there were sailing trips back in the '90's that are memorable.  Back then, several friends and myself would charter a sailboat for the summer out of City Island, and we were typically on vacation in places such as Newport, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Block Island, etc., for the July 4th festivities.  None of that this year, but I'm sure there will be things to do that will make the week-end memorable...

With Long Tall Sally (Hemmings), after getting the Declaration of Independence signed.......

.... was year before last.... so much alcohol and the best bbq spread i've ever seen and drinking games and making it out w/ diff people and being too drunk to go home until the evening of the next day lol.

I "worked" the 4th of last year but I won't this yr and am going to a cook-out/party....should be awesome.
