Not every bomb has an Islamic origin, have we forgot about the I. Republic Army!!! plus United Kingdom equals "Car Bomb." Maybe they have changed there M.O. It's ridiculous how the media would like to have us up in arms out of pure speculation.
I toured London in May. It was my first visit and never have I fallen in love with a city and its citizens so quickly. I don't care how many bombs those bas---ds set off I will return. Just not getting on any buses or taking the tube. New Yorkers more than anyone else know how something like this can paralyze a city and devastate the economy. I'll be more careful but I'm going back. See YOU the end of this month NYC.

The details will come out in coming days. I have it on good authority that it was not AlQ. They do not dabble in the the types of insindiary devices that were detonated. They were too simple and most importantly they were not meticulously coordinated. Which is typical AlQ MO.
I would guess that it was some group looking to grab attention from the G8. Or maybe it was the Frenchies...to sore about the 2012 Olympics. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Sorry if it offends anyone. Just trying to make light of this crazy world we live in.

I'm not sure that it really matters at this point who caused the attack. The damage is done and the outcome is what is is. Simply put carnage and devastation. Terrorism is terrorism regardless of its origin.
As a Brit now living in MA I am struggling to watch my home country go through this, just as I struggled watching you guys go through something similar on 9/11. It's horrific and harrowing.
The facts released so far by the BBC are as follows. Various Islamic groups have admitted responsibility, most of which are splinter groups of Al-Q. At this point Tony Blair has NOT confirmed the origin of the attack BUT the foreign secretary has said that it is very similar to the framework used by Al-Q in their attack on Madrid last year.
As for the IRA, yes you are right England and Ireland have had their fair share of problems over the years but since the Good Friday agreement the attacks DIRECTLY on England such as the Canary Wharf attack of the past have decreased substantially. They were one of the first groups to stand up and say they were not responsible. Yes that may seem incredible but lets not forget that the IRA has little reason at this time to attack England and their normal MO is to call in the attack minutes before it happens which did not happen on this occasion.
I do have strong feelings about this and am sad to see that many of your thoughts are with teh terrorists and not the victims...which is exactly what they want.
I will say one thing. It is the Anneke's of this world that encourage the Brits to embrace the Americans. Not just for her adoration of the people and the country but for her defiance in refusing to focus on the enemy at this time of need. Please lets try to follow her example by not hosting the drama that these people create.
We need the support of New Yorkers more than anyone and I know you have it to give.

Well said, my love. There is strength in numbers and as such, we should all unite! The initial response by all as humans should be shock and compassion, not blame and revenge. A newcaster in a recent broadcast said he was surprised that
not "more people died" or were injured. That is horrible!!!! The people that died or were injured could have been you, me, our loved ones, and that is a horrific, devasting experience to endure and not to me diminished whatsoever!
It is because of Alliances or Allies that this horrific event happened, so then it is that very alliance that should dominate and overcome the evil that exists!
I am not a New Yorker, neither am I a Brit, but when I see the broadcasts and hear the stories about 911, Spain, London, etc., I still cry and and feel overpowered with emotion! It hurts me and I cannot fathom the feelings if I were in NY or London or Spain or had friends and relatives involved! It is a devastating event!!! God bless our countries and those that support us. God give us all strength in this unfortunate time in our history!

The UK is short for the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The UK is comprised of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland...but not the republic.
You will not offend Brits by asking if they are from the UK but be very careful when using that term. Irish unionists (in N. Ireland) will agree they are from the UK but Irish nationalists (from N.Ireland) do not take kindly to that name.
In short if you mean English say English so as not to offend the Irish.
