Greetings NY Board:

I have recently returned to Manhattan after years on the road. You oldsters may remember when I moderated this board, which meant I couldn't submit reviews.  It's a shame, I have 100 great hobby stories from everywhere from Augusta, Maine to Tel Aviv.  I've enjoyed 3D providers in a virtual world and even run an online brothel. But there is nothing like the energy and wonder of real life NYC professionals.

I'm a little lost looking for the modern replacements of old places like "KamaSutraNYC" or "Julies."  These shops had wonderful owners and regular staff with occasional visiting stars. You sat on the bed as one by one you were visited by each provider for a short intimate conversation, before deciding on a partner or partners.  (Not the crass line-up of the HBO bunny place. Oh, I went there too)  

Is there any place open today that compares to the experience of these classic NYC spots?

I played in several houses during the late '80s and early '90s.  No Internet.  No GFE.  Had a great time. Got back into it in late 2010 and it's all different now. Not better.  Not worse.  Just different.  I don't pretend to know it all.  Went to Jerry's (now Jewels) once and had a good time.  But would not go back (not worth explaining).  Stick with well reviewed TER girls is my advice. But that depends on your interest in playing at the edges.  Not me.

Thanks - I definitely stick with well reviewed TER providers!  TER is an amazing resource. Its great to have community support, no matter where you are stuck for a lonely evening.

If you go to a mixer you can have short Intimate conversations, before deciding on a partner/partners. It's a no brainer for me to spend big money once i meet a sexy lady in person.
