So a few weeks ago I set up an appointment with a popular provider on TER who was visiting NYC. I left work early got everything ready and one hour before the appointment I receive a call saying that the provider did not feel well. I reschedule for the next day and I am canceled on again this time with ample five hour notice. The provider returns this weekend and I e-mail back and forth finally setting up for Monday at 7:30pm. I receive a call at 3:45pm the same day from the provider’s service asking if I can move the time to accommodate the provider and one of her other customers. I am flexible and say sure 6:30pm it is. I show up at the hotel ten minutes early and call to get the room number and get no answer. I call again at 6:30pm and am told to wait. Twelve minutes later I get a call back. Now realize that by this time it will take another three minutes to get up to the room so 25% of our time is gonzo. I balked at this bullshit and left. I know that most providers on this site are respectful and would never treat a person in this manner, but there seem to be some providers who do not have a problem stacking up hobbyists like cord wood at one hour intervals. This is truly bad form. I know this is a business, but I am really surprised that a seasoned veteran would do something like this.
Is this par for the course or do I just have bad luck?
One of the most important aspect's of successful tour is time management.
It is unrealistic to schedule appointments back to back and not have this kind of problem.
I personally prefer to have at the very least an hour between engagements, ideally more. Absolute nightmare of any touring companion is when one appointment is running late and then all others have to be pushed back.
From what you are describing, someone she was seeing prior to you either was running late or camped out in her room pass appointed time.
Do these things happen? Yeah. How to handle them? Communication.
This particular provider/screener duo has unique communication and interpersonal problems that manifest themselves on too many occasions. I've had some strange and memorable experiences in dealing with both of them. If they fucked you over 3 times - move on to greener pastures.
Yes, makes you wonder how much time in between to shower and freshen up for her next client. If she is seasoned, she should know how long needed inbetween appointments. Since you keep getting calls to cancel and change times, I have one question for you, why would you keep going back? Doesnt that screw with your head (both of them).
I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I was just horribly stood up by a visiting well reviewed provider with a Booker! Just wondering if this is more than a fluke. By any chance does the Booker's name start with an A?
