I am looking for a massage parlor that actually gives a good massage with “all the fixings”.  Any suggestions?

one upon a time the good old West Garden Spa was the happy medium. No more. "Real" massage training is expensive, time consuming, generally done with the expectation of a license. In the old old days Esalen in Big Sur actualy did teach a high level of sensual massage. If you were lucky enough back then to connect with an Esalen trained sensuous masseuse you'd be ruined for anything less. You could check out places like Sacred Beauty, not bad, not spectacular, mediocre to decent bang for the buck...New York doesn't have a reputation for talented massage, we did have a flurry of Tantric poseurs a while back that never amounted to much. Be real careful of all establishments that have shower or bathing facilities with wet floors. We do have some of the toughest strains of athlete's foot that migrates northwards to become fiercest resident crotch rot known to man or beast. Have your Lamisil cream at the ready !
Your best solution if you're in splurge mode is to find a good legit massage place, have your good legit massage by a professional who knows bodywork, like at Relax in the West Village, then visit a sex worker who knows sex, the hit one of the Korean steambath places in the west 30's for a bone deep bake, then thoroughly slather your feet and crotch with Lamisil and Micatin, yeah, you'll need both for the next ten days or else....
