I have used Escort magazine ads in the past. They went out of circulation for two months this year and all their regular advertisers pulled. It sounds fishy to me so I don't use that anymore. It is for sale from some adult stores. Xtreme, a free mag, was recommended to me but it barely list mp, nevermind individuals or agencies.

I too disappointed with TER. I'm sticking to TER for security for now. It does seem to get a little inbred. All the same providers get bumped with, "yep, she's a keeper." I wish some of the experts would do some more TOFTT. I have in the past but not currently.

With no more New York escort ads in most print magazines (Nypress, New York Magazine), where is everyone looking when they want to see an escort if they don't want to use the internet to find one?

On the net, It seems the major players are Eros for the higher priced escorts, backpage for the mid to lower end. The review boards like TER and similar sites seem to have loyal users who don't see providers out of that network.

I am missing something? Is the Village Voice the last standing print adult advertising resource? And don't get me started on the groups trying to get the to pull the ads...

A bit curious.

Print advertising for escort services is all but dead. That's just the way it is in the year 2011. So keep your laptop and ipad humming. :)

are Eros and Backpage the only places everyone looks for escorts?

Sadly, Eros and Backpage are the main games in town. This makes it particularly tough for the specialized courtesan class of provider such as yourself. I also think that Eros has lost much credibility. Their VIP status is meaningless and they have an epidemic of fake ads.
(You are remarkably beautiful by the way)

So true! now days we have choice at a crazy speed with internet and yet more exposure as IP and all that is easily accessed by people with some IT knowledge.
This is seems to be the way, however, here in London (where I am based as an independent escort) there are way too many directories and they all have the same girls.
magazines marketing is perceved to be the lowest now and so it is all reduced to reviews and how the girl's website looks like.... is this a better way tho?
I personally would prefer a simple ad in a high quality paper and so preserve my and your privacy.
Besize, to run all this networking sometime I feel like I need an MA in IT (and yet my MA is in something
more human lol)

Why? Because it will be flooded with girls and AMPs ads, which will ruin the business for the few who took the chance and started to advertise with them.
Some years back, one of my clients suggested me to place an ad using a venue he was the sales manager for it.
I didn't think I would get ANY clients from that particular ad but I was wrong! I got quite a few and it has been one of my best source for clients.
The alternatives are out there, you just need to be bold and creative.

Back in the day when I used to frequent those places, I often read those ads, but never followed up...too vague, and I preferred to take my shot directly with the strippers themselves.  Now, I fall into the loyal TER network who rarely strays.  Reasons for that are obvious (to me, at least): More than enough ladies to see, with information on what to expect if I decide to make contact via reviews.  Personal experiences using other websites is mixed, and I would never use anything published in the VV or the stripper mags unless I could trace the ads to reviews here.

In most areas the local mags are the way to go, clients aren't that big on screening but, for less then half of 1 eros ad i get 10x the volume of quality bookings from great old school hobby guys who are on time, always nice, always tip and almost never want anything GFE. Stop by your local strip clubs and sex toy shops, pick up all the little mags they have in front and see what your options are. If you are local to 1 area another good investment is yellow pages, sounds crazy but, both print & digital bring the calls. When I'm looking for the best local mag I put ads in all of them with different phone numbers to gauge what actually brings the business.

When I first started, I did exactly that - gathered all the mags I could find. Publications like 'Screw' and the like seem rather...trashy. Its unlikely anyone reading Screw are looking for someone like me.

Unless the local papers have a specific section for adult services, its unlikely one could place an ad there. I called AM New York with questions for my square biz and asked casually if they take adult advertising. His answer was emphatically no.  :-p

As someone who's fairly new to TER, it does seem to present a catch 22 situation. Hobbyists won't  see girls without reviews, or an approval from preferred 411, which in turn one cannot join without reviews. I find it hard to believe that no gentlemen would be interested when, in the days of NY Magazine, they would be flocking to see the gorgeous girls. Maybe someone could elucidate?
