From a woman's point of view, why is it that so many women will engage in the most intimate of sexual practices with total strangers but will declare kissing off limits totally or allow only a meager peck on the lips?  What is it about kissing that seemingly makes it the most intimate type of contact?

i feel like its most intimate because our eyes are meeting at the closest point and its kinda odd not knowing whether or not to open them or close them lol

Kissing is more intimate.  You get more sensations from it than just touch.  Specifically taste and smell as well as touch.  Obviously, the touch is different than getting fucked, but I am not speaking about which feels better.  Just which is more intimate.

And, if you are using a condom for sex, then there is even less of a sense of connection with someone.  If it's intimacy that you are seeking, then kissing makes all the difference.

Well I sure know for myself I love to kiss and i remember when I first started I would say the same thing. Then I said wait I am a mature single woman and I am enjoying my life so that practice went right out the window. Plus in the end it actually in my opinion is worse on your psyche everything in your life should be done in your true self or not at all.

But it is so trueeeeee if you can kiss well you can make this lady melt in her shoes. That is why personal hygiene is so important cause I can not do bad breath or bad body order I have honestly excused myself before wasting somebody's time.
