You can try Melville, there are 2 nice hotels there. Huntington Hilton and A new one for longer stays.

How about some visits to some upscale incall Northern New Jersy locations?

Try the Hilton in Melville.  Other providers have used it, and it's a clean place.  The problem is that it's not near anything like shopping and food - it requres a car to get around.  The Hilton Garden Suites you used before (I saw Pamela Stacks there) is a very new place and is top notch for the area - and it's walking distance to Fortunoff's!
