I would have to say it varies with the individual for me.. But you can never go wrong with David Bowie, ZZTop, The Cars, Bauhaus.. Ect!! Damn the possibilities are endless!!

All I want to hear is the applause of sweaty flesh (smack, smack, smack, smack!). But I went through a phase in 2010 when I'd fire up my iPhone and play several tracks from the Iranian group Niyaz, which I learned about from Betty of SNJ. It is very sexual music (hear a sample below) and tends to build up to a throbbing rhythm that encourages deep and repetitive thrusts.

I recently met an exotic woman who played this music.... It was intoxicating... When I asked, she called it "Chill".
Latin style Jazz, very soft. Very little vocal, was in spanish.
My memory of my experience with her will always have a soundtrack to it.

.... not for a session but that is because of the vocals. Not that I don't like them, I do, but the sound of a human voice bleating from a box during a session completely turns me off. Makes no difference what kind of music it is. However, while sitting at home after many Irish whiskeys I could definitely groove to this. BTW, the one and only one time I aborted an appt mid session was when I requested the music be turned off, which she did, but during the break turned it back on and when I politely objected refused my request. I walked. There were other issues, obviously, but that was the straw that made me walk!
