It's bad enough that I allowed a Yankees thread, but now one about rebates??? ;)

I'm thinking how providers could use this marketing tool. It would probably work but how does the customer provide proof of purchase? Mail in a used...oh never mind. ;)

I know this topic has nothing to do with TER, but I wanted to release some steam. Do you hate rebates like I do, I mean, if they really want to offer it to you, why not just give it to you.
I purchased a Belkin wireless rounter and wireless network card on CompUSA, with a $70 rebate. I mailed the rebate along with the UPC codes in 5/04, I kept on inquiring on the staus, until 7/04, they informed me that a chk was mailed. I had to wait until 8/4 to have them chk on the staus, finally, I found out that Belkin mailed it to the wrong address, when I provided them with the correct, even on their email replies, shows the correct address. Now they tell me that since the offer has expired, they cannot issue another chk. Sorry was what they offered. ITS A FUC... SCAM. Stay away from BELKIN and rebates, if this is how they treat their customers , even when the fault is with them, how will you get service, when you really need it.

The rebate system for providers should work by the fluid weight system i.e.:
Ounce, pints, quarts but of course TER members will have to go by gallon (we produce 85% of all American made Jizz)..........Where would you ship a Gallon of Jizz anyway??, Can you ship it to a central wharehouse??
Does it stay fresh and can it be recycled??? If they send it to a Jizz bank, who collects the interest???? Do you have to wait nine months to receive your rebate??????????????
