LE reads all the boards....

I hate the fact that all the reporters only mention TER, so everyone seems to have this idea in their head that LE only reads this board. If they are reading this board, then they are also reading the other 2 boards. Don't fool yourself into thinking differently. With all of the publicity that TER was given with the Ny Confidential issue more people have their eyes on TER. But whats funny is that the 2 other boards also discussed the bust. I can guarantee that those boards were also read to see if it had any different information then what was posted here.

One is about Jason and the other is about the escort scene in general.  It mentions TER.

I don't have a link, but the article is about an undercover operation whereby PO are going undercover after spending 7 hours in training to catch John's picking up street hookers in Chelsea, Hunts Point, and parts of Queens. The training is to ensure that the charges stick. Goes in line with the other recent crackdowns.

Be Careful!

Scary to see so much publicity for TER, all though we are here for our mutal like of creative writing, the outside peeking in can not be good.  Look how easily The Post reporter scheduled with this Holly, who posts right here in TER, was she with an agency or indie?  And quite frankly does she screen potential hobbiest before agreeing to see them?

"The NYPD's Vice Division has made 21 percent more call girl arrests this year over the same period last year. A vice squad source said the crackdown came directly from Mayor Bloomberg, anticipating the city's push for the 2012 Olympics."

If above is accurate, I guess they're not done until NY is either eliminated from the selection process or awarded the Olympics.

On a sidenote, how do Indies and agencies, which are constantly raved about on these boards, feel about this unsolicited attention in a time where some members of TER are paranoid enough to believe that LE, posing as Julie girls, is PM'ing reviewers?

Way back when, NYC was to be the host of the Democratic Convention.  At that time, there were "lap dance" or "friction" clubs in New York, such as Dangerous Curves and Harmony (formerly Melody) Burlesque.  Dangerous Curves was a strip club (no booze - topless and bottomless) and Harmony something unique. You had to buy a "membership" and it was not a strip club and in its early incarnation as Melody Burlesque porn stars of the time would perform like they do now at some of the strip clubs.  For a few bucks (later $5-10) per song, a topless girl wearing a g-string or panties would "dance" for you while sitting on you on your lap or standing against a wall.  In reality she was grinding away, a kind of "dry hump."  You could keep the girl dancing for you by paying for each song or for multiple songs at one time.  Once you were done, the girl would look for the next "dance."  For not much money you could have multiple pops.  Some girls would allow you to "break the rules" and touch her pussy and occassionally a blow job was available but that was rare and the girls would be admonished for breaking the rules because that could result in LE action against the club.

I guess the Mayor of the city at the time (probably Ed Koch) wanted to clean up the city before the Convention.  So Harmony was forced to close and Dangerous Curves had to stop the "friction" dances, at least out in the open.

This is a different kind of crack down but the City is about to be visited (or maybe the visit has already occurred) by representatives of the Olympic Committee that will choose the host city for 2012.  With the prevalance of the Internet and the openness of ads for escorts, Bloomberg has found his target for a "clean up" to prove that NYC will be "safe" for the family types that will be attracted to the city for the Olympics.

Problem with this is that Harmony never did operate again, and as far as I am aware nothing like it has come along to take its place.  Let's hope things don't get so far with this new crack down.

as sterile and efficient as the man himself. Excellent administrator. Creepy soulless visionary. Like the military technocrats in Vietnam who would destroy a village in order to save it (from itself, presumably). Bloomberg loves the idea of the obedient citizen modelled on the corporate employee. He can't stand the idea of escorting because it represents a side of life he can't contol. Chances are good that Bloomberg will get his stadium and he'll get his tightly regulated high density suburb that was once New York City and a great amount of what once made this city unique will be reeplaced with lifeless franchise outlets and theme park mentality strips where all sexual thoughts are tightly repressed. State of the art animatronic sex bots made of warmed silicone and wonders of miniturized electronic design will be available in discreet bodily fluid release lockers where you must submit to being photographed and fingerprinted and reciting the Pledge Of Allegiance To Family Values. Double bot sessions will be available for a surchage of 50%. Extreme phantasy experiences can be discreetly arranged. Our operators are standing by.
