Look on the ad sites that have "available now" features.

You definitely would have better luck if you contact them directly, sometimes providers will have available space for last min request but didn't  log on to the boards to know someone was seeking a short notice appointment.

 Although I prefer appointments there have been a few times I was available with short notice so double check just to be safe.
