Is it really a legitimate question?

Uh, oh, I feel another of those pensive, philosophical posts coming on. [Fair Warning Disclaimer: Leave now!] So, I'll offer a few observations on posts, reviews and credibility. First the specific, then the general.

As to VvH, Showmethemoneyy (an obvious alias) implies that he has in fact written a review of her under his true TER identity. I see no reason to doubt him. So let's use me instead.

I have also seen the lovely Victoria several times, and I second his recommendation. She is absolutely wonderful, fantastic and her 90+ excellent reviews are totally on target. No shilling, not an 'I love you Victoria' post, just my own observation and reaction. And yet, as is obvious to anyone who cares to check, I have never written a review of her. So why, Bill and Bacca might ask, should my comment be accorded any weight?

When a TER member posts a comment, good or bad, about a specific lady on a discussion board, is his credibility deminished if he has not written a review of the particular lady about whom he comments? I think not. While a member with no reviews to his name who offers what could be construed as a promotional post might be subject to having his credibility doubted, a member with a review history and a posting history should be entitled to credence unless he has proven himself unreliable in the past.

As I look back at my own reviews, I see I have not done one in over six months - although I think I feel another one percolating around. In point of fact, the 14 reviews I have submitted to TER represent only about 15% of the ladies I have seen in my time in this hobby. (And BTW Bill, I have seen, but not reviewed, one of the two ladies who you have reviewed - care to guess which?)

The question is often raised on various boards, why do members not write reviews of all the ladies they see for the benefit of all. I can only speak for myself, but personally I view reviews with mixed emotions. On the one hand, I do like having the benefit of reviews when I am considering seeing a provider who I have not yet met. On the other hand, I am often loathe to write one myself, as I feel it is in some way a violation of a shared intimacy. Also, the TER requirements for graphic details is a bit of a turn off - I absolutely hate the two liners that say basically "I came, I saw, I fucked." (apologies to J. Caesar)

So when I do sit down and write a review, I approach it as writing an erotic novella (although I do not claim that my style is up to the standards of some of the alltime great review writers of TER, such as the sorely-missed pauliewalnuts). Moreover, there is a certain amount of work involved in writing a review, as I approach the process, and generally I will write only when truly moved to do so, and only when I feel that my contribution will add to the body of TER knowledge. When a lady already has 60 or 70 reviews already in her profile which are consistent with my experience, I will rarely feel motivated to write a review at all, and will do so only if I feel I can add something unique to the state of knowledge about the particular provider. (Extra credit: find my three reviews that fit that criteria.)

The bottom line, I suppose, is that I participate in this hobby to enjoy myself, and I participate in this and other online communities to enjoy myself. The act of writing a review is not, in and of itself, particularly enjoyable, and I do it only when I feel that my review would have something new to contribute to the community - as in writing the first review of a lady who previously had no TER profile, or a review of a lady with a relatively small number of reviews.

I guess what I'm saying in all of these ramblings is that in this hobby, like in so many things in life, we must make judgements about the credibility of people who tell us things. But in the microcosm of TER, when evaluating the credibility of a message board post commenting on a provider, there should be more to the equation than 'did that particular poster review that particular provider?'

If we havent met before, please send references. Ill only be booking through email, so please allow extra scheduling time.

And worth every red cent. Check her reviews. Voted TER best buns of 2003 (when do we have a 2004 or 2005 contest?)

This isn't a shill or I love you, just had to attach a note about a great lady.

Showme

VVH is absolutely the best GFE.........wish I could book all her time. Be very nice to this very special young woman.

she looks gorgeous and has some excellent reviews but my question to you is if you spent time with her , why didnt you take the time to write a raving review then. It would definately add more credibility to your statement

Showmethemoneyy4300 reads

but I didn't say that I didn't post a review :-)

As much as I would like to clear it all up, her record speaks for itself, and I am going back to UTR.

I do respect the question, though.

Hyabby all your points are very well taken but to be honest my question was more of a tonque in cheek way of saying it would serve her better if you didnt do it under an alias.

Your position is well articulated and makes perfect sense.  However, you do not post under an alias.  So when you write a post about a provider that you saw but did not review, you have credibility with your follow hobbyists.  Posting under an alias leads to suspicion unless the alias is well recognized as being a legitimate contributor.

Just my humble opinion.

First let me state the obvious by saying that your post is clearly well articulated and salient.  However, a few thoughts . . .

As has been stated by both Bill and Lawyer, a comment written about a provider under an alias begs to be questioned.  That some comment written by a member with a review history would obviously be given some credibility.  'Nuff said about that.

As to your experiences, while I would guess that most of us are like you in that we have not reviewed everyone we've seen (Lawyer and probably jeopocon1 being notable exceptions)I would submit, sir that you are doing our small community by not sharing so many of your experiences.  While there are few of us that have the linguistic skills of Hemingway, Frost or even a good Harlequin Romance :), your experiences are valuable to the community.  Although I have not yet read your reviews (and I now plan to), I wold guess that your writing style is a bit more elaborate then "veni, vidi, vici."

Even if your reviews are on point with the countless reviews a lady may already have, your experience, and method of conceying it, may add something that someone else may find useful.  Besides, I'm sure that VvH and others love great reviews and probably would say "the more the merrier."  I am sure that Mercedes and BMW don't tell automotive writers to stop lauding praises.

In conclusioin, this is just a long-winded response to your pensive post that in essence says "I don't care how you feel about writing reviews!  Write them anyway" :)

I'm guessing that you and I are not the only ones that don't like staccato-esque reviews.  Set the example, kind sir!!  Let's create a movement!!

the gifts of this fine woman have now been satisfactorily confirmed by sources deemed to be much more credible and reliable than myself, e.g., members with reviews, thus rendering the entire discussion of the saliency of my endorsement a moot point to the thread.

So, istead of saying anything, I will point to those with reviews who have given positive accolades, and keep the attenton focused on the young lady, where the curiosity belongs ;-)

Thus endeth the discussion, thus endeth the lesson.

PS: Unless that was an attempt to arrange a date with me, which is not in the cards :P

Aw, Showme, some of us know that you are a credible and reliable guy, with a few reviews to his name (more even than me :-) who prefers to keep his postings separate from his reviews.

And to keep the focus where it belongs: I love you, Victoria!
