It depends what type of clientele you are trying to attract. One higher-end shoot can easily pay for itself in a  single multiple-hour date with a wonderful, possible long-term client. Like in economics, you have to spend money to make money.  

A LOT of girls use Aldo, so his photos aren't original and tend to all look the same. He is known to airbrush quite a bit. However, a professional shoot would be a GREAT step up for you (meaning because you only have selfies at the moment).  

Spend a bit of extra time planning outfits, hair, etc and it will yield threefold, or more! Promise

The Aldo watermark is well known on Provider pics.  But click around and you'll notice some others. Black Orchid and Jason Ryan are two that come to mind. Others, others ... help me out here. I mean, help BSG out here!

Even if there isn't a watermark, I think that many Providers wouldn't mind if you ask them who did their photo shoots, once you find a style that you like.

A photog just posted to one of the boards to ask about how to get an anonymous deposit (because he's been burned by NCNS after traveling to a customer and having made studio arrangements). I can't find his post. It was withing that past few days.

You want to ask for references anyway and make sure to read any contracts. Some photos might look great but if all the girls say s/he's a torture to work with and they'll never go back it might not be worth it. I think the days of proof sheets are long gone with digital photos. S/He might take 60 shots or more but your contract might say that only get to pick 6 or 10 of them. Will s/he want to include their watermark on the images? Does it cost extra to get pics without their ad on pic?  

And watch out for the guys who offer: "My cell phone has a pretty good camera. I'll take your pics!" unless it's me. My cell phone has a pretty good camera. I'll take your pics! :-

If it's not giving away too many secrets, what is a typical or average arrangement? How many pictures do you take in a 1 hour session? 2 hours? With lots of memory, you could take thousands of pics, but who wants to sift thru that? How many become "final product" for the model?  

People say that Aldo does a lot of photoshopping (but he gets an attractive result, even if guys complain that they cease to be accurate).  

Is photoshopping extra? I would think it's got to depend on time. Color correction and a few other standard things are probably included in the price. Tattoo removal might depend on how much time it takes. Changing a size 15 into a size 2 might take a while. What's the usual deal?  

In the non-hobby world, I'm concerned about deadlines. I think the girls have a reasonable expectation to get their finished picture files within a certain (short) time. What's the usual turnaround for a "standard" shoot? (I mean, you can't photoshop and deliver 1000 pics in one day, can you?) A set of 10 pics should take ... a week or less?  

I've often wondered: Is there a two-tier price scheme if the customer keeps the photog's logo (free advertising for the photog; lower price for her) or asks to keep the logo off (loss of free advertising, higher price)?  

If you need an assistant, I am available to smooth the wrinkles in the bras and panties. I am VERY careful about getting the look just right. I can hold the spotlights, too.  

ANO ANOTHER NOTE TO BSG: Makeup. I have read on the boards (usually Newbie and not Local) that some girls bring along a cosmetologist or a friend to help with makeup. You can do your own, but there's so much else going on, it can save time and ease the pressure to have someone else to help with it. Don't just show up with a comb and a brush and hope for the best.

As to how many get taken in an hour, that really depends on too many variables for one answer to be accurate.  Most of the time, I do 60-90min and get anywhere from 75 to 200 pics.  The only touching up I need is to remove my tats and crop out my face.  I'll get anywhere from 5 to a dozen or so shots that I feel are ad-worthy.  Lately, I've been posting a few of my "throwaway" photos on Twitter lol.

Many photographers' packages are for a set amount of time, or a certain amount of outfit changes, and a specific number of fully touched-up images are included.  Sometimes, if you want a LOT of photoshopping done, there is an extra charge.
Each additional image that's not a part of the paid package will cost extra.  I've seen $50-75 for each additional touched-up image.

I've checked out a few photographers who do that; others simply do not have a no-watermark option, period.  Usually, I don't like having that on my pics.  However, there's one photographer who's work I LOVE LOVE LOVE and if I decide to book her, I won't care if she insists on having the watermark on the pics.  She's that good.  ;-)

I'm still not quite sure what "glamour shot" is supposed to mean.... isn't all good professional photography for this business somewhat glamorous??  IDK.  
Oh, and I absolutely adore upside down photos.  But I've been informed many times that this is not popular among men.  I don't get it, but what I like doesn't matter. ;-)

I have difficulty recognizing faces, but when it comes to bodies posed and framed upside down?  Totally different, IMO!

This link is to a pic for which I received several messages & tweets of "No upside down pics!"  and I DO NOT GET IT!

How can you possibly not recognize what you're seeing??

Go to the 60 Minutes site and watch for less than two minutes (from 2:45 to 4:04). You can see the main themes (pillows, sheets, a body, lingerie) but you can't really recognize anything or figure out if a face is pretty or not or if breasts are perky or not.  

More advanced studies distort faces and objects in other ways to make the effect even more clear.

Ironically, I have used Jason Ryan, and sad to say, he really isn't worth the money. His first shoot is free, and he's always in DC & VA, so I'm sure that's where he gets the luxury to dawn his watermark. His first shoot, a free shoot, when I was blonde visiting VA- came out with AMAZING photos, Second time I paid $250 also while traveling, and I got SOME GREAT SHOTS, This time, I paid him a total of $750 to come to long island. 3 hours tuned to 90 minutes, and my photos were pretty shitty, not a single one of my proofs rated a 10 on my "selection scale" And I kinda just picked whatever at that point, highly disappointed in his editing this time as well.

I feel, the more you give Jason, the less you'll find in return. As a person, and an amateur photographer only doing boudoir for, I believe he said a year or two, He great! I'm just looking for something in my area AND within budget.

(If Jason were in L.I. I'm pretty sure I'd feel more oblidged, but travelling 5 hours for photos- isn't worth it at the rate his quality has been spiraling.

My clients sure as hell aren't CRAPPY and I'm sure many of my reviewers would hate to be called that. I wouldn't say that about you if you were ever a client. But you don't do much of anything on TER but throw up an alias and mess with providers.

He was good for me before, as an amateur- but I feel I'd like to progress in my business, and in my photos.

Many have used Aldo including me in the past if you are looking for a decent photographer and not spend an arm and leg he is it.

We know the girls here are attention seekers in more ways than one.  Whether its making up review excuses to playing the damsel in distress tactic.   Whenever a girl write something flies will fly to it like poo, so its expected. While I was touring Sydney, I booked a photoshoot with Hello Miss. Absolutely wonderful and professional photographer, who is extremely talented. He travels a lot, although I suspect he just returned to Australia after spending some time in the US. In any case, be sure to book him should he come back.
