I have been using the Internet for some time since the early days. This particular hobby has probably grown in leaps and bounds since the Internet allowed providers and hobbyists to connect. I would bet that if this medium never existed the "speed of change" would have been a lot slower and perhaps your observations would be quite a lot different.
As to your other thought, the borders and visa rules in this country are rather relaxed. They need to be stiffen up (no pun intended) for obvious reasons which could be a detriment to this hobby. But what would you prefer, seeing the same old flow of visitors coming to your town or a nuke (or whether your fancy in weapons of mass destruction)up your six? Ladies from all over the world come to visit this country and to earn $$$ to pay for their expenses and accessories, they use "US" to support them. Sex slaves? They exist in this hobby, but not in the fashion that you are thinking about. If you have any issues about this point, avoid your local AMP or equivalent that is stocked with Asians or eastern Europeans. I have no observations on Latinas.
I have recently joined TER ,so that I can check out reviews on some of the girls that I would be interested in seeing.Observing most of the websites it seems that there quite
a significant amount of girls traveling from Florida up here for the winter.Should it not be the other way around? So I investigated further and found that there are more providers down in south east florida then here in ny.Also the ones in florida seem to to have a south american connection or eastern european. Also they are charging well below what other providers are. They must import these girls for six months than send them packing or keep them as sex slaves.Although this may be beneficial to the hobbyist it seems morally wrong .it just like us losing are manufactuing and high tech business to cheaper labor.I'm sure some feel it is welcome news, because girls they have wanted see, but could not afford are now hurting for money. The economy is off and some girls should adjust there pricing, just like all business are,but I feel that there is something much bigger behind these girls coming in from out of the country. What are your thoughts?
>>must import these girls for six months than send them packing or keep them as sex slaves.
What is your basis for saying this? What evidence, anecodotal or empirical, have you seen?
-Hoot.
I understand your observations, but, respectfully, think you are totally off base.
I have been a member here, and have observed TER for more than a year and a half. I live in NY and travel frequently to SE Florida. Yes, there are more providers there than here, and yes, they frequently tour in NY. And yes, there are more providers down there that have lower rates than NY. Here is, IMO, why:
1. The area Miami to West Pam Beach is a resort area. If you look at other resort areas in this country, you will also find more providers relative to population than you might in NY. The population of Las Vegas is only 275,000 or so. Yet there are 282 TER listed providers there. That's 1 for each 975 of population. There are 932 in NY with a population of 8,000,000. That's one for each 8,583 in population. The approximate population of SE Florida is around 4,900,000. There are 436 providers listed. If you were to remove the people over 65 yrs. old, your total would be around 4,100,000. That's one provider per 9,403 in population, really similar to the NY area. There is no real correlation, and the number of providers in SE Florida doesn't seem out of line to me.
2. They tour NY because there is potential business here. Also, a relatively large number of Floridian providers have roots up here, so they perhaps combine some business with a visit to home. The one agency that sends the most girls up here is Belle de Jour. BDJ also has providers based in NYC and LI, who from time to time travel as well. So they send people here, but they have a standing busieness presence in this community. Does it make sense that they may be trying to build their business by sending providers up here to offer their clients some diversity and choice? It makes good marketing sense.
3. The provider population of SE Florida is as stable as it is up here. There are some that come and go, but not to any extent greater than anywhere else. At least to my observations.
4. The cost of living, and also local earnings, are lower in Florida. The reason NY is more exopensive is because NY itself is more expensive. San Francisco providers are more expensive than NY, and it's a more expensive place to live, by and large.
5. Your "South American connection" is merely reresentative of the fact that the Latino community in SE Florida is both prominent and huge. A large number of people come into this country there, and if they can't find work in other fields, or if they decide upon that lifestyle, become providers. I haven't done the research, I can't begin to figure out how, but I would probably be willing to bet that the Latino provider population in SE Florida is proportionate to the general population as it would be in NY.
As said, I do travel to that area frequently, and generally have dates with some of these providers. BTW, many of them are as expensive as the ones in NY. I have personally seen no evidence whatsoever of any of the "morally wrong" stuff you describe. The majority of providers I have seen in that area have been upbeat, professional, and a pleasure to be with. I have, of course, chosen them all based on TER reviews.

Well actually with regard to the "sex slave" issue and Latinas, there is ample evidence out there (check out Newsday for example) that many Latina houses in Queens are essntially indentured servant establishments where the provider works to pay off the "fee" to get her into the US.
In fact there is (or was) a stroll on Roosevelt Ave. in the Jackson Heights/Corona area where there would be guys who would call pedestrians or cars over who would then give out cards with an address. You would appear at the address and then pay about $50 tops for the visit. I've never partaken of this -- this is just from stories appearing in the Queens papers. All of the girls were illegal, many had kids, etc. Not pretty stuff.
Let's face it, the sad truth is that many providers are not doing the work because they exactly want to. Maybe they are not sex slaves in the traditional sense but many of them have few other choices, particularly when you get in the sub$100 donation range.
