Hope to get up there this summer.  Who are the providers in that area?

... Utica has been in decline not just for decades but many decades with no prospect of recovery. Not to mention it is in the middle of nowhere albeit a beautiful nowhere. Not that Utica itself is beautiful. Maybe when the Air Forc base in Rome was operational there might have been some locals to service the service men but even that closed in the mid 90s.

.. I had no idea what the reference to Turning Stone meant. Good to know that he is going to Utica for a good reason. I was responding as a long time visitor to the Mohawk Valley and Finger Lakes region of NYS. My experience is that the country is gorgeous and the cities are not. Utica in particular. I am also not into gambling so if Utica is staking a comeback on that and golf it's just another reason for me to never go there!

Turning Stone has three world class courses and a relatively new casino. The tribe that owns it didn't get a liquor license (at least when I was there a couple of years ago) and that probably dampens the night time action. I suggest lovethefittones post something on the ISO board and see what turns up. He might have to import someone.

Surely no offense intended. We golfers will go anywhere for a new experience. Just in case he's reading the thread, he might consider Foxwoods. Good golf and a much better chance for picking up a few fine lasses
