I am very disturbed to only now learn of an armed robbery occuring over one year ago at Jewels. That said, how common are these incall robberies??? And can everybody start posting these incidents as a heads up please, as unless a tragedy occurs, they will not be covered in the local press.
Cash businesses, outside of the "legal realm", reluctance to call the cops. All of these things and more make these businesses a prime target for thugs. I do know that the "amps" are especially hard hit by this type of thing. I know of one place that as hit twice in six months. Luckily the girls were OK because the manager simply handed over the cash, but you never know when one of these crooks will snap. Bottom line, it is always safest to stick with known clientele. And when taking new customers, if you don't like the voice, simply disregard the caller. And always try to view them from "afar", like from across the street or something. I think you know what I mean by that...if they sound or look like a thug, they probably are a thug, so why take chances? Yes, a guy with a "normal" sounding voice or "normal" look can be dangerous too, but if it quacks like a duck...
