I have experienced cancellations from touring providers who have apologized explaining that they did not book enough appointments to justify the cost of travel and lodging. This is something to consider when a hobbyist plans his day and time. Booking with a local provider is beneficial. Particularly a TER rated provider who is most likely not to cancel and perform well in order to maintain her good reputation and TER ratings. Also to be noted is that  well rated local Indy’s as well as established agencies are more likely to be reliable than many touring providers.  Check out TER’s new Regional Ad Boards. You should take it one step further and mention rates.  High end providers that demand an ample rate don't have to book dozens of appointments to cover the cost of touring.  I've never had a problem with cancellations by touring ladies who charge $800+.  That's why I shun this nonsense railing against high rates.  There are perks to paying higher than a higher than average donation, and I never apologize for my ability or willingness to do so.
