I find eros too expensive. Does anybody have success somewhere else? I don't like bp it's kinda scary. I think thats obvious to say but in case someone wrote back that, I thought I would discredit it first.

There 3 other sites that are more regional but they are TER competitors as they are also review sites.

... Eros is way too expensive and they're too greedy for what they offer us ladies... Their ad prices are meant for times like for before the recession....I stopped advertising there because I advertise on P411 and get all in all way more out of it. But I believe it's different with each provider....

I would skip Eros and find out more p411.   It has worked well for me.  I don't know about the cost, but it has to be better than Eros.  I lady told me Eros can be a G a month depending on the options.  I don't use Eros, and honestly I think it sucks.  Combined with what she told me and my experience, I would stear clear of the site and look for other options.

The prices for an eros ad don't warrant the quality of the client who contact thru there

Also they are by far the worst advertising site we have ever encountered in the world.  They treat customers like they are idiots & it's their way or the highway with regards to everything.  They had a monopoly for years and their attitude shows this

We have used Slixa recently and found them but not that busy. TER for us is the best for NYC Tours

but eros can range from like 2000 or more monthly with the banners that actually get you noticed... its not only expensive but the spots for whatever reason get filled very quickly so you have to have a lot of money upfront like 2k at a time. And if you don't jump on those spaces, you have to wait for weeks until the banner space is available again. i spent 500 for one week for a cheaper ad and i never got booked and maybe a couple calls at best! it was throwing money out the window.  

Slixa the same thing happened. 350 for one week and nothing came from that either. The customer service lady said that the guys take their time making a decision and that I should keep my ad up but I didn't want to keep putting down money.

i don't do tours (maybe Ill start) but i was hoping for my options in NY cause the city itself has traffic right?

Eros and Preferred411 used to be premiere places to go, but I think you'll see them become more lowscale since they're now requiring advertisers to show their government IDs.  An "upscale" girl is more likely to be put off by these requirements, since they are more likely to have fulfilling non-provider lives that they're passionate about protecting.  Side question:  Are you girls actually revealing your sensitive information to these websites???

I'm on Eros (was fortunate enough to get in before they got more rigid on the ID thing), but I think a girl has to build her own network these days.  I have a great assistant who only assists a certainly caliber of companion.  She refers a lot of new clients to me, and in return, I trust her to refer my valuable clients to quality companions when I cant see them.  It works very well.  

Tldr; Focus less on advertising and more on relationships.  

Truly upscale 'girls' don't post anywhere. They get their clients/'friends' via other 'friends', otherwise known as referrals.

As for the rest of us, internet peoples, I haven't had much luck with Eros as of late; hence, my recent visits here. Being the idealist that I am, I'd like to think that Eros still has potential and from what I hear, used to be a very good site for advertising but for whatever reason, does not yield an ideal client as easily as it once did. I've had better luck on p411 but with my working in major cities with a high cost of living and doing business, like LA/SF/NY/Vegas, my luck was contingent on buying a monthly feature ad for about 350-500/month to enhance visibility during times when I was available and advertising.  

I've had recent, modest luck with TER but that is because my rate has stayed consistent rather than increasing with inflation to the 800-1200/hr rates I'm now seeing becoming ever more common for Manhattan, so it is no longer high-end. TER is a mid-range site, not high-end. So my suggested requests for my time seem to be working on this site for the time being because they are more aligned with what this particular market niche will bear.  

There are other forums similar to TER-you just have to do your research and try them out to see if they work for you. The rates that these forums can support seem to be a bit lower than that of TER. So if you are a provider who caters to gents on a budget (less than 500/hr in a major city), there still seem to be plenty of options.
   
I agree though bp is not exactly the creme de la creme. My hope is that just as Eros evolved into a good site turned not as good, maybe bp will one day evolve into a not-so-great site to a much better site, that is less scary.

It's not as if elite clients shun the internet in their search for companionship.  I understand your logic, but high end girls do in fact advertise.  Maybe not with the same frequency and visibility, but we're right there with everyone else on the internet.  One of the most effective ways to get elite clients is to make note of what all the other girls are doing on a particular forum, and do something different to stand out from them.  It works pretty well (if the service she provides matches the marketing, that is).    

Don't get me wrong, there are circles and venues that a girl can get into where she doesn't have to rely on the internet AS MUCH.  But we're right here too.

While not upscale... All men look there so don't rule out using BP, just do your necessary screening. BP is much more scary for fellas than us. haha.

In upstate NY Backpage is very steady for business. Some of my best fellas come from there. BP hits at the top of search results in many cities when a fella may Google 'your city escorts'.

Id at least test the waters.

BP has brought me some great gents! So I wouldnt exclude BP from your search options.

Backpage is getting a lot of publicity right now because of their litigation, so that is why I wanted to try it. Also, I've heard good things from other providers. However, the average ceiling of rates that the gents seem to require on that site is comparable to Amsterdam, where the cost of higher education and healthcare is lower. So I guess, it works for some, not so much for others.  

I guess it's always good to cast out a net with as much advertising as you can to see what works. Sites that yield the best results in terms of advertising vary from city to city...I think that in NYC, one needs to advertise pretty much everywhere to get noticed.
