Was with wife shopping for skin care product in manhattan.  Walking aroundd this high end boutique place in the city....noticed one of the sales persons working there had these really low cut top and a gigantic set.  She happened to came over and asked if we needed help.  While her and the wifey was discussing skin care issues, we looked at each other and did a second take almost the same time.  I am not 100% sure that she was a provider that I've visited.  But let's just say her facial expression after the second take was probably identically to what my face looked like if I was to look in the mirror at that moment.  Also, her in all location was 3 blocks away from where we were. And she never came back to us and offers more help.

Three weeks ago I was in front of my building smoking a cigarette. I glanced at the corner store and saw a petite woman with a huge blond ponytail waiting in the register line. My instincts kicked in and I knew right away it was her. She turned around and sure as shit it was like spotting a unicorn. She came out of the store made eye contact with me, we both smiled and the kicker was her perfume. She was wearing the exact same perfume as during our session. She must live in my neighborhood.

Funny,

J

Love that line, it really made me smile.    Yes this will happen from time to time, as many of us have other professions and do go out to the store.

In the 10 years or so that I've been in the hobby I've bumped into people maybe 6 or 7 times.

When we were both alone, all it took was a look to know it was ok to greet each other and say hi before moving on.  When either of us weren't alone there wasn't even an attempt at a communicative glance.

I saw a provider on a train once, and we both knew it.  Smiled at each other, texted each other after, and then made an appointment to see each other and catch up.

The key is DISCRETION.

Back in the dark ages I used to use one of the manhattan yellow pages agencies.  The phone girl recognized me as a good customer and sent me solid providers (and steered me away from bad ones).

One of the best girls I ever met this way was a Columbia undergrad (she claimed) who went by "Fawn."  20 years old, all natural, and just amazing.  I was one of her first ever bookings.  After I saw her twice, she quit, never to return.  I suspect she was in the business for maybe a month, max.

Maybe ten years (!) later, I am on a mid-town subway platform with my then wife (now ex-).  Not more than ten feet away is a girl just STARING at me.  It's DEFINITELY Fawn, dressed beautifully and conservatively, and standing there with her prosperous-looking mid-40s husband or BF.  It was f'ing nuts.  We locked eyes for like 30 seconds, and neither of our SOs noticed at all--but we were both stunned.

Never saw her before or since, but it was her.

Its interesting to see them out of the original context. Both times it was while I was dining out and we exchanges polite smiles and greetings and went our respective way.  Its NYC so personal space is always respected.
