Some message boards or newsgroups have filters to weed consistently annoying posters. Wish this place had that. There is too much nonsense to weed through to get to posts about the hobby. Can't you clowns take it elsewhere? Any new member must wonder why he bothered to stop by.

The fact is, the board is ALL of these things. Those that complain can always do something else. Skip posts you don't like. The answer is NOT complaining to THIRSTY {or any other moderator). Some people never post and then cry when they see a thread they don't find in good taste or apropos to the board. GROW UP !
It too damned easy to just skip over posts you're not interested in. Must be the hot weather.

Before people start complaining or speak their mind or the moderator does something?
TER is meant to be a fun place where we can exchange information on the hooby as well as discuss off topic matters. If you have no interest in the off topic matter then skip the thread. You people decided instead of doing this that you will all complain about absolutely nothing. If you want a board with no board participation then go to TBD. TBD has been dead for the last 2 years. Do you want TER to become the next TBD? As TER participants should we stop posting so that Cierra can keep her ad on page 1 for much longer then 1 day? I don't think so. The best way for a provider to get maximum exposure to her ad is if more guys visit TER and view their ads. Without all the off topic conversation less guys would visit the TER discussion baords and this would create less views of a provider's schedule. It seems a few providers want to have their cake and eat it to. You want to make money from TER but by your attitudes you may get your wish of less off topic threads but you also will get less views of your ads as nobody will have a real reason to come and check out the board on a regulat basis.

there's discussion and there's the bs that's sprang up in the last couple of weeks (the bill and junior show) and the bs copycats. but, hey if bill and junior can do it why not everyone?
the fact that schedule ads still get more hits than these bs humor posts should tell you what people are coming here for.

the point was popular providers are not clicking their own ads. people are really coming here for escort info and there tends to be certain trends making this obvious.
Weekly ads go up on Monday. Why does anyone read TER from Tuesday-Sunday? It is because of the off topic threads. Some providers put up ads midweek but most do not. If anyone ever listened to your complaining about off topic threads and did something about, the only one that would suffer would be the providers. If you want less TER traffic it could be arranged.
Off topic threads may be fine and can be skipped. What seems to be happening however is "off topic" posts inserted into a thread that have nothing to do with the discussion topic even remotely. Nasty personal attacks should never be allowed.

I work for a media company. I want no censorship and I am certainly not PC. You guys are free to flame each other, make toilet jokes or whatever. My point is the board sould have a way for those not interested in clicking through pages of nonsense to filter out the burgeoning amount of dopes. I bet, alas, that a lot of the stupidty is by 4 or 5 guys using different aliases and thinking they're clever. You really aren't. Save your flames, nobody's interested.
Humor and shtick have a place and that’s within the boards subject areas, keep them in the context of the board. If I want to wad through a ton of shtick (good or bad is not the issue) I will go to a comedy site.
