END OF MESSAGE

I will ask others to express their opinions but my feeling is that you need to shut down the use of an alias as a means to attack someone for a legitimate post.  Let's see how many of the brave souls come out of the wood work in response to this one.

All of this argues for the total banning of the use of an alias.  I would like to see one or two examples of an alias post recently that was not mean spirited.

Stand up and be a man. Now where is Mr. Info when you need him?? lol

I will stand up for myself.  I am now on a crusade.  That crusade is to get your sorry ass banned from this board forever.  If you knew me better you would know that I will not stop until I succeed in that goal.  You will be gone buddy, never to post on this board again.  Just watch and see.

The problem with the prior post is that it violates the TER guidelines.  It will be up to Thirsty to decide the consequences for violating those guidelines.

you have been abrasive, I agree. Bitching to Thirsty is one thing. However, you're not making any friends with posts of threatening to get people banned or take "appropriate actions to get this board shut down."
Well, it's certainly getting you modersated, as far as I can tell. Only after you've crashed and burned like the train-wrecks we all ove so much. You'll be on the Hall Of Shame List for Providers. ROFLMAO!
BTW, harmless recent use of alaises to not attack people. Gee, Foamy the Squirrel, godorator, Big Fatty, Rapacious Rimmer, shall I go on?
Hey you asked.
I feel like your about to crash don't let NYC burn you this bad, not worth it.

Get this board shut down?  No way.  Only getting you shut down asshole.  Apparently everyone knows all of these posts are by the same person.  It will be up to Thirsty to confirm that when who he decides who to ban. I suspect you will be banned.  Bother some other board smuck.

I have no clue and don't care who they are, just trying to help you out with your crashing, lol. Apparently, you are drinking mid-week and are having personal problems. You attack others and call names thus causing your own demise.
I feel that chair wobbling. You sure you don't want to take the rope off your neck kiddo?

What benefit is there to having the option to use an alias? All it does is enable cowards to attack posters. This board would be a much easier read -- and far more valuable -- without jackoffs cluttering it up.

What use is there coming down on those who "hide behind an alias," as if alias postings were somehow less reliable?  That makes no sense.  You can use the same user name to review and to post, and tell lies all day long in both.  There's nothing whatsoever about connecting the two that assures any kind of reliability.  Wake up, your reviewer name is a made-up name!  Besides, this Board is about HOBBYING, not Sunday School!

King,

The problem with your argument is that new aliases can be created on the fly and the number of aliases any user can create is limitless. Any of us can build a reputation as a poster if we stick to posting under our username or one or two aliases. If a poster creates a new alias just to attack somebody they are indeed HIDING BEHIND AN ALIAS!

thirsty

The King of All Aliases and others defend their behavior by saying this board is about hobbying, not Sunday School. So that must mean when you see a provider, you tell her, "Please call me by this nonsensical made-up name so I can shout insults at you." Just brilliant.

and not for the purpose it has been intented for.  They are not funny but mean an vindictive.  There are a great bunch of guys out there that I came to love asnd trust.  You alias posters are destoying this board.  I wish you all well.  I am gone!

Peace out

Buddym

While I agree that alias attacks are annoying and litter the board, most worthwhile members can easily discern these clown-attacks (clshitlist; villageguy; the most recent thread, etc.) from the legitimate arguments and criticisms.  These guys are so ridiculous it's actually amusing.  Like any other petulant child, just ignore them, and they will eventually understand that they should be seeking POSITIVE attention with worthwhile contributions, and not negative attention by trying to push people's buttons.

with Venom and make it very difficult to create and participate in a discussion of a legitimate topic.  I recently started 2 posts with legitimite questions and received no feed back because the alias posts took over each thread.

I've been reading and occasionally participating in the boards for a month or two now, always under my user name.  That's my choice.  But, I've seen threads in which the use of aliases have flown fast and furiously to absolutely hilarious effect.  Unfortunately, at other times, aliases do seem to underscore mean spiritedness and childishness.  The latter is probably inevitable when you bring together a bunch of guys with widely divergent opinions and pesonalities. The best response is to grin and bear it.

Your post was not moderated; the thread was simply moved to the appropriate forum for such posts.

Look before you leap.

but can I still wear the "Most Dispised Person on the Boards" badge?
