I have no problem with people using them out in public. For better, or worse, we live in a society where you can assume there is always a camera around, snapping pictures or video for instagram, or facebook, or whatever other service. You have no expectation of privacy when you are out in public.
However, private situations are something else. This guy just identified himself as someone who has no concept of proper boundaries. He was probably recording video as he came in the door, either with the plan of putting it online, or maybe he really is a cop, or working with them

On one hand I smile thinking about this guy with google on (I can visualise him lol) but on the other, I find it incredible he thought even for a second that was ok to do. We should wear them for safety not the guys, but then you will see how the guys would run a mile rightly worried they may have been recorded, including the one who did this to you.
