Providers sending insulting emails because of honest bad reviews?confused_smile

Ok so maybe you can explain why giving an honest review seems to be frowned upon by some insecure providers.

This site was set up so that hobbyists could protect themselves from the many scams, bait and switch, and downright not so great or dissapointing encounters with providers who either misrepresent themselves or who just aren't any good at their trade.

I have given some raving reviews and some not. The low scores were all deserved and it was my duty to warn fellow hobbyists from wasting their hard-earned money, and more importantly from that yucky "why did I waste my time" feeling. Let's face it, there are a multitude of phony ads with fake pictures out in the various post sites. This is not only dishonest, but also sets the provider up for failure. We all know of stories of posting with a photo of Angelina Jolie and the wicked witch of the east greets you at the door. :-))). But seriously, there are plenty of horror stories out there.

So again I ask, Why do some providers feel they have a right to send insulting emails to hobbyists that may have given out some honestly deserved bad reviews? This is a form of blamming the victim for speaking up against dishonesty and poor service. Do they think we are so hard up that we should take bad service and lies with a smile? Or is it that they know they will probably also receive a poor review because of their inferior looks or service?

Well, I'll speak for myself in saying that in NYC there is an endless supply of wonderful, fun, quality providers to chose from. The phonies, fakes, and just untalented make it harder for the good ones to make a living. If hobbyists are constantly second guessing and doubting ads then they may pass by a genuinely great provider as it may seem too good to be true. This site provides some measure of comfort and allows for the great providers to stand out and be the super stars that they are and ultimately increases their following.

So ladies, give it a rest, don't worry about bad reviews if you have nothing to hide.

Plus that, it is a smear on their pride and image.  I read your review history...if you provide your handle to the ladies' as part of screening, your review history will work against you, especially if you wish to see ladies' with mostly or all high score reviews.  Best thing you can do is decline to provide your handle...all those 5/5's look bad from the ladies' perspective.

the whole point of a frum like this is to give hobbyists a place to share intel and weed out the shitty providers. I disagree with you Crazy Diamond.

Bro's before Ho's. If she is getting bad reviews she has to step up her game. Use REAL pix, provide OUTSTANDING sevice if she wants to be known for being one of the best.

Isn't that what this site was designed for in the first place?

Oh I forgot, TER was actually founded as an ad venue for "over the hill fat broads" and a place for white knights to suck up to their favorite grandmother who doubles as a hooker.

Jesus fucking H Christ, the scarcity of guys who actually get this is just fucking staggering IMO.

 --  Well said...

I had an experience a few years ago with a lady who received mainly 9's on looks, with a few 8's, few 10's.   I don't know what these guys were smoking but she had flabby legs, flabby ass, and in no way shape or form was a 9 in my books.  So to not hurt her feelings too bad I gave her a 7 (attractive) with an 8 on performance because she DID "go the extra mile"

However I was a little more descriptive in my review than she would have like to hear, so she sends me like a dozen NASTY e-mails within an hour time period.  Not to mention from 3am - 4am when she obsviously was out drinking.    Then after I complained to the agency she sends me an apologetic e-mail asking me to submit a new review minus the flab comments, which I did NOT do.

What I should have done was submit a new review and add to it the fact that her Y smelled like a fish market just before closing

So, unfortunately there are shills out there who do exactly the opposite, and post raving reviews for ladies that most of us wouldn't want to waste our hard-earned money on, or our valuable time

Again, this site was set up so that hobbyists could protect themselves from the many scams, bait and switch, and downright not so great or dissapointing encounters with providers who either misrepresent themselves or who just aren't any good at their trade, and other hobbyists are 100% entitled to know the facts before diving in...

What CD said re bad reviews affecting a girl's business is true.  Still, I agree that if you had a bad session a poor review is justified.  The problem is, in some cases, guys who give low scores have issues that affected the quality of the session, such as poor hygeine (I am not suggesting that's the case  with you), or just a weird personality.  And wayodd's point about $200 providers is valid, too.  Perhaps it's time to re-evaluate your approach?  I see gals in the $300-$400 range, and sometimes above, and almost all my experiences have been great ones.

inicky 100%.  And to his point, we have to evaluate all the reviews and who's doing the reviewing. Do they consistently give average scores or are they giving all 9's & 10's?  Learn the different handles and whether they are just BS artists or credible reviewers.

BTW, I saw an indy girl in NYC at 250 and she was spectacular, looks, performance and even location.  But the comment about lower price in general is valid too.

1. If you don’t want repercussions from your reviews, write reviews under a totally anonymous handle that you don’t share with anyone.
2. The point system is a useless measure and has been for years. Debating it has become a complete waste of time.
3. Look to the reviews for a description of the provider’s general attitude, services offered, how she typically runs her sessions and if she offers the types of services you’re looking for. And realize that this is a subjective account that’s no doubt enhanced to boost the ego of the reviewer.
4. Trust only reviewers with reliable track records.
5. Shill reviews are rampant. Take this fact for granted. A provider with a handful of reviews from unknown reviewers? You might as well be taking one for the team if you book with her.
6. Search the discussion board before booking a provider to see whether there’s some back story or drama you should be aware of.
7. Good service can be had at almost any price point. However, if you play in the mid market and high end, and follow reviewers with good reputations, you’re more likely to have better sessions more of the time (like it or not, this improves your odds).
8. If the provider screened you prior to the session and knows your true identity, and then you post a critical review revealing details of the session that will clearly identify you personally, you’re definitely playing with fire. Your reviews don’t have to be generic—just be careful to protect your identity. Or else, suffer the consequences, because it will be your own fault.
9. Believe it or not, there are other review boards. Cross reference.
10. Google the provider’s phone number and, in a separate search, her name. See if there’s anything you should know about her that might not be posted on TER.

Happy hobbying!

Say can and will be held against you. You can be honest without being mean. Diplomatic without trashing someone in rude and insulting ways.

I pay for my TER subscription.  That means that I can do with it whatever I want, within the terms of use.  I don't need some other reviewer telling me how I should review a girl.  And if I feel a girl is great, and my session was great, then that's my business.  Unless the other hobbyists here plan on giving renumeration when I have a bad session, my answer, quite frankly, is that I don't owe anyone else a fucking thing.

Now...is there grade inflation?  Sure.  Do some guys shill and provide good reviews for otherwise shitty service or ugly providers?  Sure.  But to go as far to say that we are "obligated" to give a shitty review when we've had bad service?  Who the fuck are you to say so?  I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I don't know how much more clearly to say that.

Here's what you can do if you want some more info:  Check out the reviewers' other reviews.  PM people that you know and trust.  Ask around.  You can find the info if you want.

As far as providers sending insulting emails...that's not right, either.  I have no defense for that or would even agree to that being even remotely correct.  I can understand why they feel this is bad for them, so whenever I have a less-than-satisfactory session, I always just email the girl after if she is pressuring me for a review.  I tell her what I will write in a review.  If she's not happy, then it goes nowhere, and she gets feedback.

I just have an issue with your idea (or anyone's idea, for that matter) that other hobbyists have an obligation to point out the bad ones.  We don't.  Sorry.  Unless you wanna pay for me taking one for the team, I don't owe you or anyone else shit.
