NYC Hotels but, on the Island the important criteria include:

1.Accessible, free, discreet parking
2.Easy access to and from the hotel (without having to interact with hotel staff
3. Larger hotels are better than small, short-stay motels. Larger lend themselves to more anonymity
4. The sexyness of the decor for me is all about the provider, not the decor.

I'm sure some of attributes also apply to NYC hobbying.

Miki -

Long time no talk....

One of the best locations was when you used to be in the Gramercy Park region.  The location was spacious, attractive but not over the top, clean, comfortable for rolling around, and was a great place for a cold or rainy day.

Requirements for me are all of the above, a kingsized bed, maybe a place to have a drink if that works for you, and privacy of course.  I do not like having a doorman screen me.....do not like to provide any id, and will not see a provider if that is the case.

See ya soon babe !

For those that know me, you know that I believe that nothing beats doing every acronym with a view (the city or the water is fine).

Next, a room that's bigger than a shoebox.  No need for a suite, but a room w/ a nice size bed and a lounge chair or sofa makes the ambiance better. (Yes, they are available in Manhattan at a reasonable price!)  Decor itself is meaningless - just have the room clean and not too messy.

The volume of the hotel is not as important as whether you can discreetly walk in w/out needing a room key or to be called up.  Anything that requires us "bashful" hobbyists to interact when we are on our way to our fantasy is distracting and may spoil the mood.

As for where, NYC has subways and some of us drive.  Parking will never be free in Manhattan, but a place where there's parking on the same block and not blocks away is a definite plus.

Looking forward to seeing you at where ever you pick!

The neighborhood has to work for you.  Where you want to live when you are not working.

Near transportation works best...subways get most places as do cabs.  My preference is in the twenties or thirties in midtown....forget upper east...too expensive, and upper west...too many families.

Downtown sucks because of distance.  As time is so important when sneaking out for a nooner....distance and difficulty in finding the location is a major distraction.

And.....you have to be happy with your digs.

extreme eastside or extreme westside is better. (Less cross town traffic that way). For those like me who are driving this is important.

Best areas are Gramercy Park and Murray Hill. Safe, easy to reach, and upscale.

In terms of an apartment, anything clean with a decent bed and a shower works for me. While doormen buildings are safer, you do have to suffer through that sheepish moment of asking to go up and suspecting he knows what you're up to. Once inside, as long as it's not too bright and the TV is off, I'm fine.

YOU have to be comfortable w/ the place, I prefer the upper East Side.  Just seems easier to access.

Doorman places are safer, but they do get to know you.  For example, there is a NYC provider whose doorman presses the floor button on the elevator for me when I arrive. So much for being discreet. A place where you get buzzed in would make me more comfortable.

Decor?  Should reflect you.  If you're comfortable, then you will make me comfortable.

Finally, space.  A one bedroom (as opposed to a studio) allows for a little more room.

No Doorman to deal with, nice building, clean and safe neighborhood, with nearby parking garages. Not too far east or west (this les critical)

Clean and warm, nice shower with plenty of dispensible soaps - do want to rub my body with some other guys ass on the bar (no offence)

not downtown! midtown east or west is great. I take the train and then walk or subway. ... As for your get-together, Miki, count me in.

Mid town best by far. Closest to work. Many of us also like to be within walking distance of Penn Station or Grand Central. Place needs to be clean and not very clustered.

City wish list: safe building (doorman ok safer for you and clients); east side (20s – 70s); nearby parking garage; clean apartment, sep. bedroom (preferred), bathroom with a good shower; good temperature control and as long as your in it the view will be excellent.
