I need a recommendation for a high end agency. I am looking for a nice selection of model-type providers and good service. Please give me some names of places and the names of providers you might recommend. I can do the rest of the research myself.
While you are waiting for more replies, you could use the "Find Message" function on the bottom left of the forum page to search the forum archive for posts on the the agencies you are interested in. This board gets inquiries similar to yours about once a month.
In the meantime, my take is that Mona Lisa has many fans on this board and NYElites also has some fans; NYCovergirls are pretty but you often don't get the girl in the picture; Fleur de Elite, Chez Briggitte and Portfolio Elite usually deliver the pictured girl but, at these three, you typically are paying extra for beauty not performance. Also, you sometimes find girls from these very high priced agencies listed elsewhere for much less (often at Mona Lisa or NYElites). Sloan, Fairchild, American Beauties and Tower have had bait-and-switch issues.
to hell with the so called HIGH END agencies out there. Juliesnyc.com choose one of the Private Stock ones. Its worth the bucks and service is excellent. Just do the research via TER.
This brings up an interesting question...are there any hobbyists out there who have actually tried both? I, personally, have never tried any of the "high-end" agencies, but I would love to hear from those who have tried both the "high-end" and the "low/medium-end." (ie, Julies, BDJ, NY Jewels, etc.) Any of you guys who have experience with both types care to comment on the comparison? Is the extra expense of the "high-end" worth it?
