I do not know about any of you but I am getting tired of clicking on a given web site that is posted with a review and getting a lot of pop up messgaes. In addition I am goeeting tired of receiving e-mail from the porn star sites and the sites they are linked with.

Anyone have a response?

You can set your preferences to supress pop-ups.  I did this 6 months ago and haven't been bothered since.

Insofar as getting spam in your e-mails, I haven't figured that one out yet, but if you use Yahoo, they can filter out most bulk mailings to a separate mail box and then you somply bulk erase them all.

It seems to me you're discribing to different things: Popups and spam.
There are a number of freeware apps available for download that will block popups.   I suggest going to cnet.com and search on popup blockers.  Read user comments and select accordingly.
Spam maaybe a little tougher to block.  Chekc with your ISP about spam filter or purcahse as specific spam blocking program.

AOL version 8.0 has pop blocker that has been very effective for me.
