Question about the SuperBowl:

Will the Super Bowl have any affect upon NY this week starting today, Monday, at all?  For those that live/work here, do you think hotels, restaurants, the hobby, will be busier due to the Super Bowl at all? If so, as early as this week? not until the weekend? not at all?

The teams arrived last night. They are housing in NJ it seems though, so I doubt much will change. The reason I chose to make this week my first tour to NY was because the Superbowl. I am unaware of how busy (or lack thereof), things usually are, but they have been decent for me thus far

There are many people working 'behind' the event and they arrived like a week or two ago. I think the ones going to the game will not be in town until Thu/Fri.
The past two weeks has been busy for me, with many out of town callers plus my regulars.
The Superbowl Boulevard opens today and I am not sure what kind of impact that will have on my (or other ladies) businesses.
Going across town, East/West will be a nightmare, with Broadway closed all week from 47th to 34th streets.
So, I think is too soon to know if we are going to be making money or not.

...Cum stay on Long Island ........just my opinion tho,lol  Since we can always use a good dose of Hotness to offset the Friggin Freezing Weather !!!! ;-) XXOO

Hotel rates are jacked up to accommodate the demand (They are expecting 700,000 visitors this week…)  NYC will have as many police on the streets all this week as they do for the one night New Year's eve… Rumor also has it that Scores and other strip clubs have flown in super high end Russian strippers due to the influx of horny tourists

Pre-booked rooms, have mine... plus selling 2 reservations around thur/fri for double :-P sad say, last week rates where under 200 easy... now probably are slowly making their way up!.

.... the city was jammin' all week long. Former pro players from each of the teams will come in early to enjoy pre-bowl VIP parties etc. See if you can get into some of the parties that will be going on around town OR find yourself in the Lobby Bar of some of the better hotels in NYC.

Get your ads up girls!!!

The frigid weather may affect some things.

When the event was held in Detroit, adult activities in nearby Windsor, Ontario were booming.

I would expect that hotel rates to be out the wazoo for the next week plus.  Everything is going to be elevated this week, since the Bowl is going to here (finally!) this week.  Who cares whether it's cold?  This is NY, and the Bowl should be played here every five years regardless...

It is really appreciated and something to think about. It should be interesting to see how the week plays out for all involved.

Happy & safe hobbying to all!
