I think, far more relevant, has been the response of the Porn Industry in the San Fernando Valley about the first AIDS incident since 1999.  What is most impressive from the NYTimes articles is the rigorous policing among the actors--monthly testing for AIDS and STDS.  According to the NYTimes articles, no one wears a condom, there are multiple partners and weekly sex encounters, and, yet, almost no AIDS--the actor got it in Brazil--and little STD's.  Considering that most male porn stars are very poorly paid, why doesn't the provider community insist on weekly inspections for providers?  After all, every hobbyist expects to have to wear a condom for intercourse.
