The previous poster didn't do a bad job of describing the physicality of the session, but clearly had no interest in the spirituality.  It's almost like eating flour, eggs, sugar and the other ingredients of a cookie and being disappointed that it doesn't taste like a cookie.  There is a lot more to it then what he describes.

While I said that your description of some tantra sessions was fairly accurate, I disagreed with the tone.  Parts like "put you through a bullshit breathing exercise."  Stuff like that implies to me that you are not open to the spiritual side, hence calling it bullshit and not thinking it worthwhile.

Whether or not $300 is a fair price for such service is always in the eye of the customer.  You think not.  The original poster might think it is.

I'm afraid I'm no fan of tantra either.  My experience has been that it's just a sensual massage with a lot of extraneous and not pleasurable tantric trappings like breathing exercises and New Age philosophy and Indian interior decoration added for effect.  I'm fully aware that a lot of providers are probably claiming to provide tantric experiences without being trained in them in order to justify higher rates or whatever.  So I think it's a matter of deciding what you want--personally I want a great massage followed by mind-blowing sex with an incredibly hot chick and not a single word about breathing or chakras--and if you really want tantra, do a lot of research and find someone who is trained and experienced in it.

TER made me rewrite the review two or three times before they would approve it.  I tried to give her a higher score than 7, but that was the max allowed, so they say (but I've seen other massage only providers get higher scores).  IMO, the TER score system simply doesn't apply well to Tantra providers.
