Tell me why do you think things have been so slow. I know the stock market is headed down as we get closer to the election but so are the hobbyist.

Its an increase in family responsibilities as we shift to fall/winter and the holidays and hunting season starts.  While going hunting is a great excuse to get out of the house to see a provider, sometimes you still wanna hunt, thus all the gear that needs to be unpacked, maintained, etc.  Best time for me to hobby is usually Jan thru May.  More sporadic the rest of the year, though I occasionally do get a few chances to party

the shift into preparations for the late Autumn through early Winter holiday festivities. And yes, "hunting" makes for a great cover story!

As for things being slow, not in my case.  I've seen a couple of my closest lady friends these past few weeks, plus the NY M&G last week.  Stock market gyrations and the upcoming election have little, if any, effect, at least here.  Can't speak for others, though...
