It's appalling that some of the fine men & women I served with do not enjoy the same rights I do due to sexual orientation. Hopefully this is only the beginning of a greater shift of the tide.

Kudos NY. Capital of the FUCKING world.

But I've changed my mind.  First he  balanced the budget and forced the unions to make difficult concessions -- all without removing their bargaining rights, just by being tough.  Now he's spent political capital simply to do what he believes (as I do) is the right thing.  Bravo.

The only reason "gay marriage" is made into an issue is because there are bigoted people in this country, who don't care about FREEDOM as much as they care about their own religion.  They would rather impose their relgious beliefs on everyone else in this country.  Those people do not value SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

That's why it's an issue.  Blame the religious bigots for making it into an issue.

WTF is so sacred about marriage anyway?  More than half of marriages end in divorce.  How can gays fuck up this sacred institution more than we already have?

1)  I can walk naked through the grocery store showing off my huge rock hard dick and women will see first hand that my penis size and my height are not necessarily correlated

2)  I can walk through the grocery store wearing a sign over my back that reads "I know how to eat pussy.   And actually love it..."

It all boils down to how much we can let go of our Victorian and Puritan roots and accept SEXUAL FREEDOM.

I think legalizing the hobby is next.

Indeed..... all consening adults should legally be able to be happy or unhappy for the rest of their lives together if they want lol.

You would deny equality under the guise of mutual respect and not foisting your morality upon others. All the while you try to smear and blur, continuing with your blathered red herrings, in order to disguise your blatantly prejudicial agenda.

The bleeding heights of hypocrisy. What's even scarier is your complete and totally immersed indoctrination; all the while your self-critically oblivious. Morally psychotic.

First of all, douchebag, it's also about girls fucking each other.  And, if you hadn't noticed, they were ALREADY fucking each other.  Now they can get married.  Why should it bother you?  What about it threatens you?  Closet Queen, perhaps?

You're rhetoric is so poorly maligned with bias that for me to attempt a genuine exchange of ideas and perspective with you would be utterly pointless. I have nothing to say because you can't hear.

Keep beating that drum.

but  as a hetro I already have those rights... those protections..those assurances...those freedoms...it is not an issue of extending new rights to someone but not denying them what most Americans already have.   Uhhh...my friend, your position IS the double standard.

What you've made clear is that you're barely able to write a coherent sentence.  How sad for you.  You can't even accurately read other people's posts and respond to them.  Go crawl back in your hole.

All the examples you cite have nothing to do with NY State and Cuomo.  Cuomo has been governor for barely 6 months.  In that time he has also passed a balanced budget that included major cuts in benefits for state employee unions.  And he did it without taking away their bargaining rights.  In addition, he also got a property tax cap passed.  Not bad for 6 months.  Sorry to confuse you with the facts.

I mean we need A.T on the PR board LOL....then inicky and AT can go at it on a variety of topics.
But seriously whats the difference of they want to be married? I have a gay friend who's a doctor and he and his SO adopted twins and they are wonderful parents. All Americans should have the same rights. Their sexual preference should not come into play....the only people who should have no rights are violent criminals...but that's just MO.

I'm very pleased that gay marriage was made legal in New York but I question whether this thread should be here. There is a Politics and Religion Board TER General Boards.

Just throwing it out there. Any thoughts?
