Do these discussions generate business?

I wonder whether these discussion pages actually generate much business for the providers who post on them? The reason I speculate is because we see the same group of providers on these pages, for the most part, month-in-month-out, yet we all know the potential pool of providers out there who could participate is so much larger. Granted, every site will have its lurkers and only a small number of members will ever actually post. Yet, I can't help but think if this page was a real revenue generator, providers would be flocking to it.

Wondering if the same lurkers are just reading them over and over. I would hope this would be a great revenue for at least the providers that take the time to post. This should almost work as well as picking up a newspaper and seeing a great sale going on.

Do the ladies' posts encourage you to contact them, and meet with them?  If so, you just your question.

If I were to answer my own question, I would conclude that more ladies should be posting and contributing to the boards because it's so obviously a way to advertise for free, to meet genuine customers and to introduce them to so much more than an ad or site can possibly accomplish. But the fact that so few actually do participate leads me to wonder why.

take marketing 101 my friend. very simple. some ladies, i imagine, don't want the publicity and wish to remain either utr or very low volume. others feel differently and just by the law of large numbers these boards have to increase their revenues.

I'm not thinking of UTR ladies. I'm thinking of ladies with tons of reviews, online sites, etc. (Of course UTR ladies wouldn't engage openly on a public board -- that goes without saying, doesn't it?)

1) They get moderated for reasons that don't make sense.  2) They get attacked, or stalked, by idiot posters, especially to their ad posts.  3) They have enough regular clients so that they no longer need to post frequently, and will only do so if something is said that provokes a response.

I am not speaking off the cuff here, but rather from feedback I have received from the ladies I know, all of whom follow the discussions here.  They may not say that much here, but they are lurking out there, trust me on that...
