Just saw a fairly high priced provider today.  She gave a fantastic BBBJCIM.  Afterwards as we were talking I saw sores on her lips that she tried to cover with makeup.  

I know it's the risk we take, but what do I do now other than pray and wait?

Some people do have a natural immunity, I'm one of them.  It's likely if you have an immunity to chicken pox the same will hold true for the herpes virus.  I've kissed my fair share of people and never had so much as a blip of a cold sore, if you're the same it's highly possible that you'll not have any issues.  

You can get genital herpes from oral sex with a person with oral herpes, even herpes of the eye is possible.  Speak with a doctor as soon as you can and maybe try to get a test that isn't on your medical records, especially if you're married.
Herpes can also lie dormant for many years so if you are married and this comes up, deny deny DENY.
Stress could've brought it on out of nowhere.

I would've immediately confronted the situation. It's absolutely unacceptable.  That's horrendous and needs to be confronted, outed, reviewed, and whatever else you can think of.
We would certainly react if a guy did this to us and you have every right to do the same. A person this irresponsible is putting a lot of people in danger of lifelong health issues and a comprised immune system. I cannot fathom what could be wrong with a person to attempt sex work with any kind of open wound, much less mouth sores. Email her, save the transactions if need be.

I'm not a doctor, and I can't say for sure what was going on with her lip.  I don't want to out a provider if I am wrong about what I saw.

So you're the OP TURBULENCE alias and are Outting yourself ?   Posting in PMs is no sin, and if you weren't going to provide a name back channel, WHY post this crap to begin with????  Most guys want to know who the "Herpe Honey" is after you post this drama so they don't have a lifetime of chancre sores.  There are a few chicks in this hobby rumored (by good sources)  to have herpes that I won't get within a mile of.

I do not agree at all that a guy is obligated to give any more information than he wants to give.  Why should he be obligated to give up her information?  That's his business and hers.  No one else's.

Before you start making this out to be a bigger issue about public health...how about just let the guy figure out his own involvement in this?

Even if he decides not to say anything more than he has said, he shouldn't be lambasted for it.

Because otherwise it's a slippery slope we can apply to any kind of innuendo, rumor, etc.  And where does it end?

I repeat again...no one owes anyone anything on this board.  Be thankful for what you get.

I really wanted to make sure he felt he was within his right to do so and to to assure that most of us women would blacklist a client in a similar situation.

However, one can be sued for spreading herpes. It's worthwhile to know before you play and possibly pass it along!

As others have stated, yes! Do see your doctor. Perhaps better yet, go see an infectious disease doctor. Or see a dermatologist who can help. At least you will have a doctor deal with it and your concerns will be addressed.

There seems to be an abundance of HPV related posts on the TER boards lately. I noticed the first one recently on the Chicago board, then briefly elsewhere, now here.

Are we having an epidemic or what? There are overseas countries where hobbying is legal but the laws mandate CBJ, CDATY in addition to CFS. For DATY, a vinyl strip is intended as a barrier, I ain't kidding! Can you imagine one deep breath and the dude is gagging on the vinyl "barrier"?

Not nearly all of us have "natural immunity" so what is next, CHJ, CDFK and CLFK???

We live in risky times. Maybe "All is fair in love and war" (the war on STD's)!

The other day a provider told me I should not kiss her because she may have HERPES? My  contention is that :If she has herpes she should not be a provider until she gets treatment. I guess what she meant was she is afraid of catching herpes so she doesn't wanna kiss. But we all know this is a risk we take as adults.

Mean she shouldn't be providing. It's just whether or not it's on their menu and you have the right to not see her if her menu does not accomodate your needs.

If you don't wanna kiss as a provider put it in your damn fuckin menu. Don't have a menu preaching you tongue kiss and then when I come for the session then you don't wanna offer the menu. Coz now you have taken the fuckin donation upfront? you wanna change your menu. That's  RIP OFF right there. Duely earn the fuckin donation not with LIES though.

I did not confront her.  I wasn't sure what I was looking at, but something was going on with her lip and it wasn't acne.  I'll be honest and say it wasn't a full on fever blister. I can't say for sure.  It was really hard to inspect her lip without bringing the subject up.

Run or fly from wherever you are and get that much-needed medical check up to allay your fears. You may be fine, only a doctor can tell you that. Don't kill yourself thinking about it without seeing a medical expert.

Absolutely and get a FULL blood workup! There are many people who only check for the worst of the usual suspects. That may be fine for most of us but why not get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth! Its important to know all the possibilities!
